Fish chips & curry for under a tenner, fish & chips was cooked spot on, could tell it was fresh fish!
Stopped here three years ago and wasn’t excited. But today - wow. The fish was fried to perfection. And I can’t believe the Chips. They are the best ever for a fish shop. Not dripping with grease like others. They have a crisp texture. We will be stopping in again soon. Keep up the good work.

Great fish and chips with friendly service. There are is quite a variety of food on offer. If you enter and want something other than sausage or fish, it is useful to tell them straight away, before you order so that they can cook it for you.
All their fish is skinless and boneless. I have always foubd it suculent and juciy.
I really like their mushy peas and curry sauce to complement my meal.
All the food has always been piping hot and well wrapped. Takeout cardboard boxes are available if you wish to eat in the go.
The staff are friendly and polite. I would recommend.
Great fish and chips, good selection of add ons if you want them, gravy, curry sauce etc, very polite service, and if you have far to travel ask for extra wrapping to keep your orders warm as possible, it's not a problem for them. This shop is my first port of call from now on.👍

IMHO - Railway St Chippy was the best in town but then they sold out and the new owner hasn't got a clue about Yorkshire fish and chips - soggy batter, vegetable oil bla bla.
Step in Stuart's - always #2 in town by a mile but for some reason, they seem to have stepped up their game. Lovely Yorkshire Fish & Chips at their finest.

Exceptional. They cook the fish and chips in separate fryers which makes all the difference for those that just want chips and don't like fish I'll be back to this chippy. Outstanding fish and chips and service!
Best fish and chips we have had in a long time! Good sized portions, fish lovely and freshly cooked for us, chips were dry and not greasy. Lovely!!
