Great food, great service, really good with kids which makes a big difference when out on a family meal! Thank you to all the staff, very attentive, friendly and happy! Keep up the good work xxx
Amazing location with a great view.
Had the King prawns, Calamari, as starter and the Haddock meal.
The batter was really good, nice and crispy. The seafood was top quality. The only downsides was the portion size for King Prawns was expecting big pieces but got tiny prawns, and the chips were very bad, bland and dry.
We were recommended to eat here by the receptionist at our hotel. Some of the best fish & chips we have ever eaten. Lovely views over the bay and a good selection of drinks. The staff were very busy but were always polite, helpful and attentive. Would thoroughly recommend. An excellent start to our holiday.
After checking into our hotel, we looked for a local place for dinner. Lakeside popped up and they didn't disappoint. Our waitress was very attentive and friendly. The food was all delicious and presented very nicely. The view of the lake was relaxing. We look forward to going back with friends.
What a place!
We were welcomed by a very polite and professional staff, even the chefs said hello, they were very busy, a good sign of a restaurant, food was delicious, lovely crispy batter, my wife had the steak, she wouldn’t let me try it, she loved it.
We will definitely come back!
Well done everyone at lakeside
The food is freshly and tasty. The best fish and chips that I’ve had. The place is beautiful with a outstanding view! Amazing sunset!
Still my go to place in Poole for Fish and Chips. The food was fresh and delicious as always. My only grumble is the size and cost of the sides. £2.25 for around two tablespoons of beans or mushy peas, served in an oversized thimble, is a little excessive, even during these times where costs have understandably increased. Otherwise, a lovely lunchtime meal.
The staff are very friendly and efficient. I recommend the Dover sole, when available and the Calamari, which come in small rings with not too much batter. The chips are nice, although on my last visit I think they were nearing the end of the night and the chips were small, bottom of the fryer style. Usually fantastic, I felt the batter on the battered plaice wasn't as fluffy on this occasion, it was a tad too hard and crispy. But I guess it can't always be perfect. However, the view over the lake is perfect to watch at sunset.
I can only recommend the restaurant "Lakeside Fish & Chips". It offers excellent Fish & Chips. For my part, I let myself be tempted by a burger which was just as good as the fame of their Fish & Chips. If you are looking for a good address in a good setting, do not hesitate. My greetings from France.
It is quite pricey and the chip potions are small. The curry sauce wasn't runny it was thick and very powdery.
Only good thing is my celiac daughter can get some gluten free chips and feel normal as she is nor ally left out of takeaways due to there not being options
Lakeside Fish and Chips is one of our family's favorite places to eat in Poole.
The staff members are friendly and the food is always very tasty. All fish is reasonably priced and I can see a lot of people with small children visit as well. There are high chairs for the little ones and let's not forget the lovely view from the restaurant 😀
For a very long time I was thinking Lakeside Fish and Chips is only a takeaway place due to never have seen them advertising and never checked, but the restaurant is really worth visiting.
It is worth booking a table as it can be quite booked at times.
