Lovely traditional English pub with great garden and very friendly staff. The menu was very nice we had the deli sharing platter with homemade piccalilli....fantastic....would recommend the King's Head to anyone....they are also dog friendly...
best pub in Poole by far as an ex employee of the Kings Head, the staff, the atmosphere, the food & the dog are all key to make this the best pub ever. I recommend it to anybody trying to find a new local or holiday maker's looking for something to brighten up there time in Poole.
Called in for a bite to eat. The food was great. The vegetarian chilli was good. And the pie had plenty of meat in it. Even the dog managed a pint. Okay she had water. But she enjoyed it all the same. Good value, 👍
Good quality Badger beers are served, a single bar, with a pool table. Fairly basic interior, but makes the most of what it has to offer.
Had another lovely lunch here today the banter from the landlord was good having our party in fits of laughter. The food was excellent especially the pear and ginger crumble.
Will definitely be booking again.
We enjoyed two excellent evening meals accompanied by real ales. There is a popular pool table and juke box. The beers were Badger Best, Fursty Ferret and Tanglefoot. Just 100 yards from Poole Quay but nice and quiet compared to the hustle and bustle.
Oh my days what a treat.. not your normal place for an Afternoon tea, definitely amazing with a decent Prosecco (optional).. food was incredible.. so fresh, beautifully homemade and more than enough.. (we couldn’t finish it), plenty of tea…really is a great find..need to book ahead, communication is very good, so helpful..Thank you..
Nice pub, food was good. Kids enjoyed it too. Staff friendly nice atmosphere. Would definitely recommend.

Popped in on the off chance of a Sunday Roast, and were treated to a delicious 2 course roast dinner for less than £11 a head. The portion was a good size, and we nearly asked for a straw for the gravy. Apart from the wonderful food, the atmosphere was fantastic, friendly and welcoming and we will definitely be coming back. Highly recommended ***** 5 stars
Super fish and chips, my wife had the egg and ham and that looked even better. Brilliant garden at the back. Lost a star because I had to keep my foot on the umbrella during the whole stay.
A stunning Sunday roast in the beer garden. Amazing service and food. Absolutely worth a visit! 10 stars x
