The food at Leilamezze is exceptional! The place is beautiful and staff are super friendly and the food is delicious. The menus options are an excellent value. I am definitely going back again soon
I tried two years ago but it wasn’t good enough, I went back again after two years and food quantity was better than before. hummus and meat dish was delicious but the only problem was cold meat. This is my favourite food and usually serve meat hot but the taste of meat was good and hummus was very smooth. Shawarma was good as well. Fattoush salad was fresh. The big problem for me was the cold weather in the restaurant and cold bread they served. They didn’t turn on any heaters and restaurants was very cold. We had plan to stay there and drink tea but it was too cold. Service was good.
I loved the mixed grill the size portion is great for sharing among 2 and the fattosh salad was well dressed and fresh . Meat hummus is highly recommended.
Really nice food and service. I went on a Thursday night so it was fairly quiet so the service felt quick, but not rushed.
I was a little worried that the prices may have been a bit high, but I didn't need to as the portions were generous and the quality of ingredients exceptional.
I would say the music was maybe a little loud but that could be due to the lower background noise not covering it so much, as mentioned it was a quieter night.
Will definitely be coming again
On arrival, I noticed they were quite busy. The young lady found me a table. The Hummus was really creamy. I prefer it with a bit more lemon, nevertheless it was delicious. The lentil soup was nice and had a few peices of baked/fried bread? Unsure what it was but it tasted really nice. The portion sizes were large too! 😀! The Shawarma wrap was really big. The fries were a bit underdone for me. Overall an enjoyable experience. Definitely a nice place to come to eat when in Portsmouth. Oh BTW, it's halal too!
I'd never heard of this place until I was invited out for a friends birthday.
Tucked down a little side street off a main road, I assumed it to be quiet... IT WAS NOT! You see, the food is absolutely incredible, the staff are lovely, and the seating areas were clean and cosy! It's no wonder they're so popular.

I went on a overnight trip to Portsmouth and found this HALAL restaurant as a walk-in customer. It is about 12 mins walk from Gunwharf quays area and pre-booking of tables is recommended as it gets crowded very early especially on weekends. I ordered Lentil soup, Fatoush Salad, Babaganouj and Lamb Shishtouk. The portion size was awesome. The taste was one of the best. The service was too good to be rated here as 5 stars. Highly recommended for friends and families who want to enjoy authentic Lebanese food.
Such a lovely place!
Went for an impromptu meal and was about to sit inside, when the waiter suggested we look at the outside area. It was a great suggestion as we ended up sitting outside and having a lovely meal with the kids with lots of hot and cold mezze dishes.
Great staff and great food
An absolutely wonderful place to eat. Great quality fresh food. Friendly and efficient staff. A relaxed atmosphere indoors or outdoors (heated too!). Would highly recommend ! Can't wait to go back :)
Staff were really nice, its outdoor but heaters keep it feeling warm so its perfect. Shisha was also good for the price £15
