Coffee Cup Eastney

Great place for a great Coffee, or tea or Hot Chocolate or any other hot or cold drink! A very long established Coffee Bar that has grown from a kiosk to a luxury venue with inside and outside seating & well thought out Kids play area. This really is an all round venue for a relaxing cosy time on the laptop in winter or sitting outside people/boat watching in the summer. Lots of cakes and light snacks to choose from. Can get busy at peak times but does have a separate takeaway counter outside.

What have they done to the panini's! They used to be so good, but now you just get mush in bag. The coffee, EXCELLENT! The staff are mostly young, polite and it seemed, somewhat bewildered when the pressure is on. And maybe, just maybe, they need and extra coffee machine. It took a long time to get served. 🤔 The building itself doesn't ruin the beach (in my mind). That's important. It's pricey! But isn't everything. It wouldn't stop me from going there again. If one gets bored looking out to sea, just turn 180 degrees to witness the spectacle of cyclists crashing into pedestrians on a bizarrely situated cycle lane, placed between the promenade and a row of parked cars. My dog, who incidentally was very welcome at Coffee Cup, could have designed it better than that.

Great little spot on the Eastern edge of the sea front, great through all the seasons too. Easy to park, seating inside and out with toilets. Normally lots of choice, but obviously as the day goes on the choices become less. Great stop for walkers, cyclists and families. Only criticism is their pricing which is ‘strong’

You will not complain about a cafe next to seashore. The sitting arrangement is comfortable. In summer times you definitely would love to sit outside the cafe. They have seatings outside and each with a big umbrella. I found there is a very traditional heater (not sure the proper name of it; it buns wooden logs for generating heat radiation...) I think it makes use in winter time so the guest can stay there. I haven't tried any food. There are cakes, of course. But the kids just love the ice cream. If I'm correct their ice cream is a type of handcraft quality.

The selection of cakes was also quite nice, and everything looked delicious. In addition, the view of the beach was simply breathtaking. It's the perfect spot to relax and enjoy the scenery. However, the prices are a bit higher than other coffee shops in the area. This may be a drawback for some customers who are looking for a more affordable option. Overall, Coffee Cup Eastney is a decent coffee shop with great coffee, fantastic views, and a nice selection of cakes. However, if you're on a tight budget, it may not be the best option for you.

Great coffee shop - extremely nice staff - well made and great tasting coffee. Very cosy as the log burner was lit. I ordered a coffee and was given a buzzer and told to take a seat after 5 min my buzzer went off and I could collect my coffee. This worked very well as it stopped a build up of customers around the till area. There is also a take away window. This is great as it again spreads the queue and believe me this little coffee shop gets busy. We stayed in a motorhome on the seafront for a few days and also witnessed how busy it gets. It is the middle of winter and there is a queue at the take away window constantly (but people are not waiting long) There is also a children's play area and an area for dogs that is very popular. There is outside seating aswell. The only reason I would leave 4 stars for food is due to the price. It is a little steep. For instance over £2 (I think it was £2.30) I paid for 2 ginger prepacked biscuits weighing 30grams. But over all it is a really great little coffee shop and would use regularly when I'm here. Toilet is clean and well stocked.

This is my favourite place to stop for a hot chocolate and a sausage roll out of the hustle and bustle of the main attractions. Their Christmas selection is by far the best around. The staff are super friendly, the views are amazing and to help even more, they cater to my partner who has a severe allergy! Perfect coffee shop stop.
