We were treated to a meal by our son who loves Friendly Phil’s and we were not disappointed. 4 empty plates meant 4 very enjoyable meals. Customer service was great as the waitress was lovely. 50% off was also a bonus. Very happy customers 🙂

If you like quality American Diner food at very reasonable prices this is the place. Great service and very friendly staff working flat out, especially during #EatOutToHelpOut

Went on a Saturday night. Staff were very friendly. The food was good and the restaurant itself was clean and a lovely place to eat. Sadly what stops it getting 5 stars is the small portions for the quite large prices. Definitely need to lower prices or slightly increase portion size. Having said that if you can get over that a lovely place to eat.

Popped in for breakfast and very pleased we did. Lovely ambiance and a friendly greeting. Food fresh,well prepared and tasty! Would highly recommend a visit!

Visited for breakfast as Weatherspoons was packed. So glad we did, great staff, nice seating/ambiance. A little bit pricey but food was lovely. I had eggs Benedict, yummy but my friend had pancakes with fruit and I must say, next time, I will opt for that as fruit was freshly chopped and plentiful and loads of pancakes.

Does really good milkshakes. We enjoyed a selection of the starter menu. The staff are friendly and very helpful. Good atmosphere in an authentic diner. One of our ‘go to’ places in Portsmouth. Located next to the marina.

Have eaten here a few times and every time has been exceptionally good. The greeting from the staff is very welcoming and the place is very clean. The food is of good quality and very well prepared. Always hot (when it should be) I will be back again and again. Thank you for a great job well done.

Belated Fathers day treat. Our 3rd visit as the first two were very good.
Well prepared food, simple menu with a nice atmosphere. Would have given it five stars but feel that it is slightly let down by the number of waiting staff. An additional one or two would make a difference. I would also like to see non-alcoholic beer offered.

Brilliant staff, great atmosphere, fantastic food cooked in a flash. I have nothing but good things to say about this diner! I was most blown away by the fact that you don't even have to ask for refills on a bottomless drink, just as you're running low, a member of staff magically appears with a fresh glass! You can't ask for more than that. Will absolutely be coming again and telling my friends and family.
