Absolutely phenomenal food, very authentic not overly salted or tasting of any preservatives- plus the noodles? genuinely tasted freshly made the texture was brilliant. Plus we are both vegetarians so can confirm all the veggie food is stellar - particularly the vegetable gyozas were crisp to the side, well cooked & filled with a delicious hearty portion. The waiter was lovely (tho a tad nervous! bless him! so polite, really appreciated the care) and all the workers seemed so nice. OH - beautiful ceramics too; i was fawning over the green tea cup.

First time coming here and very much enjoyed the food, not many places to eat sushi around portsmouth so was worth making the trip to come here. highly recommend for any sushi lovers.

All dishes were well presented and arrived so fast ! everything I ordered tasted amazing! Nara No.1 was fabulous definitely and all food were top high quality. I’ve got some allergies but they satisfied all requirements, the details were absolutely perfect. You can eat everything you want in Nara teishouku and it was so fantastic. 100% High recommend . Love love love this small sushi restaurant, it's my go-to place in Portsmouth for sushi! The food is always great quality and super tasty! I've eaten in the restaurant (a bit dated, but the staff are absolutely amazing!) and had take away, both were fantastic. Would definitely recommend.

Great Japanese vibe as soon as you walk in the door. Intimate and cosy. Bento boxes great way to experience s range of food at a good price. Good arrived in good time and was just wonderful. Will box up what you can't it for you to take home too!

Ordered food from Deliveroo, arrived on time BUT was not cooked properly. Chicken was still pink'ish and felt like I am eating elastic band.
So, I stopped eating and took pictures (will attach to this review), then called them up to explain the situation: they said "they will send one of their drivers to collect the food" which was great BUT after delivery driver collecting the food, I have not received a call back saying sorry or at least saying something about the return of the food which shows their customer service level.
I called them back 2 hours later to see what they are thinking about the return but I had to wait on the phone so they can talk in their language and make a desicion after 2 hours so I am guessing from the service I have received; they just cook and send: they don't care about the quality or service they provide.
I won't be going there again, and I will make sure my friends doesn't go there too as I don't feel safe eating their uncooked or partially cooked food.

Charming and authentic Japanese cuisine. The bentos are beautifully prepared and the fish is pristine! Reasonably priced, airy and comfy dining room, and friendly service (onsite and delivery). Favourite Japanese spot in Southsea!

The food was amazing. Wasn't happy with how long I had to wait for it and there wasn't any atmosphere like music. But other from that the staff were really nice and help. If I had to give a rating I'll give it a 6 out of 10. Overall
