Immense plated kebab! Not been here in 25 years and it’s just as good as it was back then.
Good food nice staff! Mostly ordered takeaway at midnight! But this time dining in with my girl! Love their chicken and rice so much!

It's a very popular take away, often taking many a call to get through on the phone! It's popularity is not to be sniffed at, the food is delicious.
I try and sit in whenever I get the time, I love that extra freshness and the service is good too. Each time we eat here, the food is unreal; meat is tasty and tender, rice is amazing and the ambience of the open grill really adds to the experience.
I definitely recommend trying to stop by if you can, but be warned it's very busy and you may need to wait to a table. It's worth it.

I've been eating from this place for as long as I've been living in Portsmouth. Not the biggest kebab fan but have always treated Shirins as the exception because the food is that great and always reliable whenever I've ordered. It’s very authentic and combining the doner kebab with their chilli sauce...you got yourself a winner there. On top of that, the fries are extremely well made and has the perfect crunchiness to it. Easily one of Shirins unique selling point. The service I often find is pretty quick too. Usually just a 10 minute wait. Sometimes less. However, the only thing stopping me from giving 5 stars is that I haven't ordered anything else from the menu other than Doner Kebab, fries and rice. Though I'm sure everything else on the menu is great too and well prepared. Finally, I do believe the prices are justified given the quality of the food and quantity.

It's the best Kebab I've ever had. Great food and service. We travel from fareham to either eat in or collect our order. Wouldn't go anywhere else.

The best special shish I've ever had so far, tasty food, you can get a table, they do rice, if you are eating in they do a nice black tea.
First ever visit after a recommendation from a friend. The service was polite and quick with my food cooked to order. The food was fresh and very tasty! I'll certainly return again.
My favourite place EVER to eat I live close enough to get it delivered but sitting down makes it even better! The chicken is amazing, the best I have ever had by a mile! Shirins is a Portsmouth institution, I highly recommend this delicious delight!
