The Chippy

£30 for two ‘medium’ fish and chip set menus, and a portion of chicken nuggets for the kids. The most delicious tasting fish and chips we have had in a long time, and trust me, we have had fish and chips in an awful lot of seaside towns up and down the country. I was considering ordering the large portion, but the lad behind the counter said the medium portion was enough. I was sceptical at first, but the medium portion that came out could have feed 2 people easily. Later on, we visited the pier, where the same order would have cost us £10 extra for smaller portions. Well worth the 2 minute walk away from the sea front. I would highly recommend.

Very happy with my experince there was a lovely young lady working behind the counter her name was Shannon or Sharon I think , very polite and very friendly asked about our day how we had been and asked if we was up to anything nice in the evening other customers come in and she asked them the same thing very very polite , defiantly will be back agian , our chips and fish was cooked well and very tasty even had a cheeky batterd sausage without my misses knowing and that was lovely too Will be back agian thank you ☺️

4 stars for super nice lovely service and now to a food. Sadly long time ago I discovered that Brits have no taste, and calling average and common food super delicious as long as it's a lot. It's average, chips are as good as in other fish and chips shops, wanna Haddock (folks Haddock after freezing always keeping that fish flavour, cod will only taste with grease - so pray for fresh one, not old and burned), they didn't have, so I go with Cod. And honestly, it is not bad, but it's just average, but a price to size ratio making it a great deal. Average/common thing can have max 3 stars, for price.to size ratio and really lovely nice front lady 4 stars. Well done!

For just over 7 pounds, I had medium cod and chips. Cooked fresh, when the young lady handed me my two sporks and dinner, I could NOT believe the weight of the fish and chips. It must've been close to a kilo and took half an hour to eat as I watched the sun submerge into the sea over Gosport, espying from a grass seat by the bandstand along the lovely seafront. Bargain! Brilliant!

One of, if not the best, fish and chip shops in the South of England. The staff are pleasant,friendly and extremely helpful. The fish is fresh, the batter perfect and portion size very generous. You won't be disappointed with any of the products from "The Chippy". Only a few minutes walk from the sea front and there is a small car park to the rear (or you can usually park up one of the side streets). I
