Had Megs American Burrito, was absolutely fantastic. Easily the best breakfast I've ever had. Home fries were delicious as well.
Fantastic atmosphere too, very tech savvy while keeping a homey and fun environment.
Was recommended by a friend and would gladly recommend it to others!

Definitely Eclectic! Loved that this was our first food stop on our trip and our first experience in Portsmouth. Decor was definitely cool. We ordered the chicken sandwich (so yummy, with all the toppings), salads and vegan Mac & Cheese (which was very impressive)! Food definitely exceeded our expectations. Also we had the kindest waitress. She recommended local areas for us to explore and even mapped it out for us. Kudos to the Friendly Toast....you are aptly named! :)

Food was amazing. They have traditional breakfast items and then their own unique breakfasts. Staff are nice, professional. Food came quickly. Prices are more than reasonable. Tables far enough for Covid-19 safety.

Wow! This is the place for breakfast, whether you’re in Portsmouth, or close enough to drive and get there before lunch! Service: spectacular, friendly, local and attentive. Food...very fresh, an interesting breakfast mix (and looks like the same variety for lunch!). We were here many years ago and (aside from all the COVID protocols) the only change seems that now there are 3 more “sister” restaurants throughout New England! Fair pricing, good value!

Unfortunately it’s hard no; same came from a person who used to like The Friendly Toast. According to my friend who I visited with the quality went down the drain and food got extremely greasy.
Not to mention heavily stained coffee cups, poor food presentation and far from the best quality ingredients. Our server seemed rather uninterested in serving.
Portions are small for the price.
Although the place seem popular and overcrowded; the wait will take at least 45min on the weekend.

Ordered online for Valentine’s Day knowing the place would be packed for seating so decided to do breakfast at home. Food was cold which tells me it was done way before I was told to pick it up, bacon was not crispy as I ordered and my main dish was Eggs Benedict and they forgot the hollandaise sauce so I ate dry burnt English muffin with over cooked poached egg and dry corn beef with no flavor. This was my first time eating their food and it will be my last. IHOP would have done better and that’s a shame
