Nice little venue. Looks perfect for weddings and little parties.
No local food places close by at night though. Felt very isolated.
Really good place. Situated on the Southsea pier. Great views, Of the solent. Lots of other things to do on the pier too. Vip service was great to. Friendly staff. You will enjoy your events here.
I go there quite often as it's just up the road from me.

Had a great Xmas party, band was good and DJ played some good music, the stage show was different but enjoyable. Food was average but served on time and expertly handled. Overall a good venue for a Xmas party.
Went to see Jim Davidson and co and what a night! One of the key factors in such a great night was the fact that the Gaiety Bar was fabulous, first time visiting but hopefully not the last. Only negative was that the seating layout was a little cramped but overall a very special place😊👍
Use to come here a long time ago, it was never as nice as it is now. They have really made it nice and a lot more up market than the old Contact days!
Raised level at the rear with booths of comfy seating, then the main area with plenty of tables meaning a great atmosphere. This is becoming of of my favourite venues.
There is food but I've not tried this year but there is a decent option of drinks.
As this is written during covid, they have app running with a table service complemented with them checking personally so no one is out of a drink for long.
Keep an eye out for events as they have had some great ones so far, I wish I had found this sooner!
Great place to visit in winter & summer.. great events for young kids.. they are safe to run around, dance & have fun on the dance floor. It is located on the pier with a small funfair at the end.. adjacent to a great arcade with lots of 2p machines for the little ones.. lots to do & see.. great for wedding parties and large groups.. inside & outside seating.. great food at a reasonable price.. ample street parking, as well as many very large carparks up & down the seafront. The only reason I give it 4 stars is that it can be rather cold inside if you just want to sit & have a drink & a bite to eat.
We visited to see a tribute band play. The stage is a good size to allow bands to perform. Good size tables, so groups of people can all sit together. Also, because of the way the place is laid out, everyone gets a good view of the stage.
We found all the staff really friendly and helpful & they genuinely seemed happy to be there, which makes the place feel even more welcoming.
All areas are clean & fresh.
The only downside we felt was that there could have been table service, as there seemed to be enough bar staff for this to work. This may happen during different types of event.
Bar prices are fair, especially for the area.
Lovely drinks, good music and fabulous staff. They look like they have great entertainment too.
