I have to say that the position and street view of this restaurant should definitely not put you off from walking and dine in this outstanding restaurant.
We booked a dinner for 8 just for a change and were overwhelmed by how lovely it felt to dine in Tamarind.
Firstly we arrived 9 instead of 8 and were swiftly accommodated.
The atmosphere right from the start was very friendly and we were promptly served by knowledgeable and professional staff.
The dishes were exceptional, bursting with rich spices and perfectly cooked.
The staff's warmth and dedication ensured our comfort and satisfaction and showed true hospitality.
We ordered various dishes which arrived exactly as they should, tasting all exceptional & special. They also implemented all our dietary needs as well as accommodating children ;-))
We loved the personal touch, we will come again and highly recommend Tamarind to others ;-))

We all Loved our evening at Tamarind. An extensive menu of specials from all over India including many I had never seen elsewhere.
Friendly, fun & engaging staff gave us good advice what to order & encouraged us to be a little more adventurous & to choose from their specials which they expertly matched to our taste. All dishes were beautifully presented, decent sized portions, fresh & tasted amazing!

I had a great meal here with my friends last night. All the food I tried was very well made and authentic. In particular I’d recommend the Jalfray sizzler, Hariyali chicken and garlic chilli chicken masala. The naans and rice were fresh and flavourful. The waiters were really nice too, I’ll definitely come back.

Lovely restaurant and the staff were excellent. They went the extra mile with everything we asked for. Service was quick and food was very nice. Salim and his team looked after us very well.

Really amazing, high quality Indian food. If you are in Potters Bar or nearby and you fancy some Indian, this place is a MUST. Sadly we are based in East London but we are considering coming back to Potters Bar only because we want to visit Tamarind again!

We had a lovely time at Tamarind - we went when it was not busy and the waiting staff were so attentive, we had poppadoms served before we'd even ordered drinks, the starters came super quickly, as did the mains. Wonderful place, would definitely recommend! Never been so happy to pay a service charge as the service was so good :)

Came here on a Saturday evening with my fiancé. We were nicely greeted by the men at the bar who swiftly took us to a table. Very quick service and very tasty food! Definitely recommend the cheese naan with any curry you get. The poppadoms with all the chutney is also great. Will definitely be back to try more curries as we live around the corner!

Had a great meal in this well decorated curry house. As you walk in it's not as you'd normally expect, has a great atmosphere and the staff are really friendly.
The food selection was excellent, especially the specials section of the menu. For a first timer I was having a hard time choosing. Our meal tasted beautiful, very well cooked and spiced. The naan was crispy just how I like it. All of this washed down with the obligatory Kingfisher beers.
Great restaurant and a must visit if in Potters Bar.
