Dan Thai

Owned by the loveliest people, they don’t have drunken noodles on the menu but I requested them and they kindly agreed to make them for me!! The one thing I noticed was how fresh the vegetables were - everything tasted so well balanced, clean and delicious. And the ambience in the restaurant is so calming...genuinely such a lovely place, wish I knew about it sooner

Not sure how many times Ive been here over few years, but it’s always my happy place!!! Good food, lovely staff, the most polite owner and peaceful ambience. Usually my eyes always go to Pad thai, but this time decided to try the Thai veg curry with egg fried rice, polished it to the last morsel. When the place us full, there is a wait. So I normally go during off peak times when I enjoy my time better.

I've been coming to Dan Thai for over 5 years . The food is excellent and freshly made to order. There is no msg or artificial seasoning which we love. My husband and I particularly love Pam's Special fish that she always make for us, its not on the menu, we just ask if she could do something special for us, which she's always happy to do and she always serves such tasty food. We've celebrated most of our special occasions there (birthdays, anniversaries, new job, new house, baby arrival etc) and we've also started celebrating the birthdays of family and friends there as the food and service is so great. Today we celebrated our friend's birthday and the service was excellent..Great food, excellent customer service and intimate setting. Thanks Dan Thai for always making our special moments more memorable ❤.

I've just had a takeaway and it's the best thing I've eaten in a long time. I've eaten in the restaurant a few times and it's always been very good but I never expected the takeaway to be just as nice. The flavours were so fresh and authentic, I can't think of a bad thing to say about the meal. Easiest 5 stars I've ever given!

I popped in here with my mum for a bite to eat. We ordered from the great value two course lunch which was under £11 each. We had deep fried prawns and veg spring rolls to begin followed by prawn pad Thai and a prawn and veg noodle dish. Both were lovely and well balanced. We also had some jasmine tea, Thai crackers and a side of spicy asparagus. I enjoyed the food, my only criticism would be the spring rolls were tiny and lacked any real flavour within them. The waitress was absolutely lovely, attentive and so friendly. She told us her name which sounded Arabic but was actually Thai. It was a very pretty name but I can’t remember it now. She went out of her way to give us advice and put the heating on and just make sure that we were okay.

I’ve been living locally for a number of years but only managed to visit this lovely little restaurant last month and seriously regret not doing so earlier. Great service and authentic Thai flavour to every dish. The Dan Thai platter is a reasonably priced and good starting point for first time visitors and I recommend any of the curry dishes. Look forward to visiting again soon.

The owner of Dan Thai is so invested in her business that her service is exemplary and one would want this service in whatever restaurant they would have a meal at! She's so lovely and caring and can't do enough! The food is SO MUCH better than the takeaway, not sure what it is about Thai food, but it doesn't travel very well. We really enjoyed the food in Dan Thai, even if the menu is a little out of the 90's. The curries are great as are the starters. I guess based on the area, it's very difficult to try and modernise the food as she has such a good customer base who know what they want, but if they could start introducing meals like they serve in Busaba, it would take this restaurant up a notch! Anyway, amazing food and service and highly recommend!
