Delivery last night due to covid. WOW the food was delicious and very well prepared! This is the only burger bar we have in purley since burger blacks disappeared.
Very well priced and excellent portions.
The menu is simple some may say limited but I know that's a good thing for a restaurant a massive menu isn't always a good thing.

Came here for breakfast with some friends at the weekend. The food was lovely - fresh, well cooked and very well presented.
The staff were helpful and provided just the right amount of attention to our group.
Coffee was lovely - they had soya milk, but no other dairy-free alternatives.

Very tasty burger , nice glass of vino, would go again, yes . But most peculiar conversation with staff . Apparently the borough council forbids medium to rare beef burgers . Burger can only be cooked welldone. But fortunately chef did a super job with the burger and it arrive succulent and juicy . And not cooked to leather , so overall, would I eat again at Dexter’s . Amazing fresh burgers! Love the cozy decor and really glad they don't do deliveroo etc so then place isn't full of delivery people like other restaurants you go to. Whilst there is a good selection of beers on offer we had a milkshake and they are worth every penny/ calorie. Booking is recommended as it can get busy and there is only a small amount of tables.

Visited for Sunday brunch for a very chilled and enjoyable experience.
The food was great catering for gluten free options, I had the English breakfast and wasn't disappointed as all of the ingredients were clearly high quality and cooked well, the star was the bacon.
The tea and coffee kept coming and at no point did we feel rushed to leave, perfect Sunday brunch experience.

Lovely atmosphere, amazing fresh food perfectly cooked!!
Got seated with water and some salted popcorn.
We both had the beef burger which was cooked to order and my partner added bacon, which was a chunk of bacon rather then a little slice. I always but sauce with my burger and chips but it did not need any!! Was so perfectly yummy.
We had the banoffee pie after which was incredible!! To the eye and to eat!! Can't wait to go back!!!

We really like this place. Small, friendly and smart. A simple format - a short menu, but well executed. Slushie cocktail was delicious. Really good burgers, great selection of sides including really cheesy Mac 'n' cheese. The addition of rosemary on fries is nice. Great atmosphere and a fun place to eat. It's size is nice, but fills up quickly. There is no porch so it can get a bit chilly with people in and out of the door - but otherwise it ticks all of the boxes.

Super little burger joint! Simple menu but plenty of options to try. Very welcoming and attentive staff. Busy on a Wednesday night but this didn't affect the speed of food arriving. Delicious milkshake too! Will definitely head back.
