Nothing really special but very good all the same. A good variety of items to be had. We found the Costa coffee not hot enough.
The toilets were very clean. Parking was easy.
This is a reveiw purely on the parking for caravans. Anyone towing a van will know what a nightmare it can be trying to find parking on the motorway service areas. 1) is there allocated parking? Not always or 2) do you have to join the HGVs?
Reading has an easy drive in area for caravans, though not many spaces. When you see the Costa Coffee sign, go directly to the right. It is marked up but we missed it the last time we went.
Lots of well known food choices which is good. I arrived at a busy time so headed to the Pret shop and got a tuna sandwich and cucumber and mint drink. Toilets are inside and near the M&S outlet. The greggs is outside in its own small building and has different opening hours
A decent stop on our journey home. Pricey food as you can imagine for a services. The areas were clean and tidy and plenty of seats available around 6pm
I recently had the opportunity to visit this motorway service during a long road trip, and overall, I was quite impressed. Here's a breakdown of my experience:
**Location (4/5):** The services are conveniently located right off the motorway, making it easy to access for travellers on the go. The signage was clear, so you can't miss it.
**Facilities (4/5):** The services offer a range of facilities, including clean restrooms, a well-maintained petrol station, and a variety of food options. There's something for everyone, from fast food joints to healthier choices.
**Food Options (3/5):** While the food options were diverse, I found the prices to be a bit on the higher side. However, the quality of the food was decent, and it's a suitable stop if you're hungry and need a quick meal.
**Cleanliness (5/5):** I was pleased to see that the entire area, including the restrooms, was exceptionally clean. This is always a big plus when you're on a long journey.
**Service (4/5):** The staff were friendly and efficient, ensuring a smooth and quick stopover.
**Parking (4/5):** The parking area was spacious, and I had no trouble finding a spot for my car. It felt secure and well-lit.
**Amenities (3/5):** While the basics are covered, I would have appreciated more seating options and perhaps some recreational amenities to stretch one's legs and relax during a long drive.
In conclusion, this motorway service is a solid choice for a quick stop during your journey. It's clean, convenient, and has the essentials you need. However, it could improve by offering more affordable food options and additional amenities for travellers looking to take a break and recharge.
A busy but we'll run service station. Lots of choices for food inside. Plus a Cornish pasties stand outside. A good amount of seats outside. Disabled parking right at the entrance. A nice place to take a break.
Watch your possessions and young ones and you'll have a good experience. Toilets probably stink worse than standard, but they function and thereare plenty of them. Kids play area outside is a nice touch.
Always enjoy our stay here. Well maintained room and really friendly staff. Only 2 quibbles, 30 minutes of free WiFi. I mean how tight is that? Plus the pull out beds are awful!
It’s a good service with few fast food options and big restrooms
There is a new Pret stand there but unfortunately it is not accepting the payment with subscription
Supersize service stop lots of choices plenty of parking very clean 👌😎
