As along standing local customer who regularly meets with my many local friends at this wonderful pub both for drinking and eating and enjoying myself , i have always found the staff and Landlady (both Margie and Katie) very friendly and welcoming and to have the highest of standards of customer service and the great staff and publicans Katie and Scott are always fun to be around i still find this pub as one of the best (if not the best )and the friendliest pubs to go to in Richmond . A very Happy Customer !
Just love this pub, friendly helpful staff who like a giggle, good sports TVs and just love this being a rugby pub with all the memorabilia on the walls. These are the reasons we come here fairly regular from Maidenhead which is not cheap to travel but worth it, overall a great pub.
The Sun Inn is a pub in Richmond-upon-Thames, England. It is a popular spot for rugby players and fans, and has a reputation for its hearty fare and real ale. The pub has a large outdoor seating area, which is perfect for sunny days.
The Sun Inn has a mixed bag of reviews online. Some people love the pub, while others find it to be overpriced and overrated. The most common complaints are about the high prices, slow service, and inconsistent quality of food. However, there are also many people who rave about the pub's atmosphere, friendly staff, and delicious food.
Overall, the Sun Inn is a decent pub with a loyal following. If you're looking for a place to watch a rugby match or enjoy a pint of real ale, the Sun Inn is a good option. However, if you're on a budget or looking for a more upscale dining experience, you may want to look elsewhere.
Busy pub tucked away in the centre of Richmond. Watched a 6Nations game here, lots of staff and quick service at the bar. Lots of rugby memorabilia. Well worth a look around on a quiet day.
Came here for 2 pints of lager and a packet of crisps (actually we had ale, and 2 packets of crisps). Really nice hidden pub both inside and out. Weather was great so made use of the front beer garden, and pub is well presented for curb appeal. Good selection of ales, didn't feel they were expensive and the staff were really friendly.
Nice bar. Decent pub grub. Guinness wasn't great. The tap cider was Strongbow which felt a bit 80s. Most bars now have a superior cider.
Great little pub. Went on a Saturday evening. Really good pint of ESB and Hophead. Friendly bar staff. Nice atmosphere; proper pub. Definitely go again.
I reviewed this pub some months back, when we first visited, and our recommendation hasn't changed. Almost certainly one of the cheapest for a Sunday Roast, and cooked to perfection.
It has become our favourite Sunday Roast pub, whenever we're in the area.
Lovely old pub nestled one minute from Richmond green, a Fullers so great selection IMHO... Friendly people there. Has SKY and shows football if that's what you're into. Reasonable prices nowadays, 2 beers for £10 :-)
Really nice spot in Richmond. Fantastic service, tasty fish and chips, friendly atmosphere, beautifully cold beer, good music,.... Definitely will be back when in Richmond.
Rugby memorabilia Wall to Wall. Great atmosphere, reasonable prices, great Guinness
