Decided to pop in to The Hope as it has recently reopened as a pub after being a private club for a time. Lovely welcome from the pleasant barman. Really nice ambience about the place with a tasteful, stylish interior. The rear terraced garden is well furnished with comfy sofas and chairs. Definitely worth a visit...

I’ve passed this venue many times over the course of time and seen it take a few guises. I recall it being a pub and then more recently a members club. I happened to go last today and it had been renamed to what it had been before the members club and it looked opened to all.
I popped there for a pint and the people behind the bar were friendly and put a lot of attention into keeping the place clear of glasses and cleaning tables which is always nice to see. They clearly are taking pride in the place.
The garden was nice too and it was very smart inside. The beer selection was decent and it was a pleasant visit. Nice to see this place open to all!

This pub is under new ownership and has just recently reopened.
Five stars for the customer service and the atmosphere. The bartenders/ owners greet you with a smile and are very attentive! The place has been refurbished and doesn’t look anything like the pictures in the reviews. It very trendy and stylish, and of course, clean!
The prices are very very affordable, and on the low side for the area.
And they have live music every Friday.

Keeps undergoing work updates but with the history of the pub it's always worth the visit. The Shaftbury Tavern is located next door and between the two they are busy. MP

Quiet pub just out of the main Richmond town center (5-10 mins from the station).
Nice environment, friendly staff.
Was an open-mike night on the Friday evening we were there, which was pretty good. Will be coming back.

Really nice friendly place.. Quirky and full of surprises. They had pizza ovens in the back garden. A band upstairs and singers in the bar... Was lovely to visit

Great selection of drinks and Pizza was just Real Authentic pizza... Really enjoyed in their garden on the back while you can actually watch the Chef making Pizza righr in front of you! I'll definitely be back for Sud Italia!

Went here last night to watch champions league. Staff were very friendly and accommodating but the highlight for me was the pizza. They have a wood fire pizza in the beer garden area where they make authentic pizzas. The italian chef making these did not speak much english but he was very friendly and even made a pizza for everyone sat near him to sample. Will definitely be returning to try more of these as they were superb. My only complaint about the pub if you want to call it that is that their draught IPA/APA selection was poor. Tried both and they weren't very nice. if that changed i'd give 5 stars :)
