With out a doubt one of the best places to eat in North Yorkshire! Been many times when visiting family in Yorkshire - long way from our home in Brighton! We've never been disappointed with the food and kindness/ friendship of the staff. I've never had a lemon merangue pie that comes close to tasting as good as "Duncans!)

Simply the best home made food, including toasted sandwiches and massive range of cakes and desserts. All staff are so friendly caring and helpful with nothing being too much trouble to make sure your visit won't be the last! It's small and cosy so I'd advise you book a table ahead of your visit. Enjoy😁❤️

WOW! Best find of the holiday! Family run tearoom and cafe, excellent homemade cakes, jams and marmalade. Great range of loose leaf teas and a big thumbs up from my hubby for his Columbia coffee. They were serving full Sunday lunches while we were there which again looked amazing, but seeing some afternoon teas being prepared completely stole the show for me. Definitely going back for one of those one day!!! Super friendly and dog couldn't have been made more welcome with fresh water brought to the table and a bag of dog treats for us to help ourselves to for her!

Stopped for lunch today at Duncan’s Tearooms with my wife and parents. I can honestly say all four of us agreed it was the best lunch we have had anywhere for a very long time. Food and service were both impeccable.

Absolutely lovely! Had the ALT sandwich with chunky chips, the sandwich was so so good! The staff were so happy and accommodating and even gave us free shortbread for our next leg of the C2C walk. Thank you so much!

Excellent quality food and such lovely selection of cakes. Very kind and attentive staff which always do their best to seat us as soon as they can even when it is busy. My favourite place to eat in Richmond! Also a good selection for vegetarians.

Despite living in Richmond most of my life, today was the first time I had spotted this little gem of a tearoom. Lovely friendly staff and a great selection of food. Even a number of vegan dishes and 3 vegan deserts, I was spoilt for choice! Will definitely be going back :)

I absolutely love and adore this little place, the staff and owner are so helpful and very friendly, even the younder staff treat you with respect and value your custom and are happy to serve you. All staff are willing to answer any questions and try hard to cater for all food allergies and intolerances. The tearooms and toilets are immaculately clean. The selection of food is second to non. My favourite place to eat in Richmond I can't recommend it highly enough.

We'd parked and were looking for a cuppa, as you can imagine there's a lot of choice in Richmond. From the street, Duncan's tearoom looks ordinary - it's up a flight of stairs so you can't see the interior and cakes yet. But someone coming out said "best tea room in Richmond", and they're right - very friendly and welcoming, very accommodating of our foibles, and the Yorkshire Curd Tart is excellent. There's a lot more choice (as well as a full lunch menu) so we'll just have to come again a few times to taste everything. Choice of teas and decaf options is also good.
