We camped at Tan Hill, it was the perfect base for walking and cycling. The staff were fantastic, very friendly and helpful, the food was great and the beer was awesome I cannot recommend this place highly enough. We had an amazing few days. Thank you.

A magical evening spent in one of the 2 pods available. Twinkle lights inside made it feel extra special. We were actually nice and warm considering the time of year. The only possible downside was the toilet and shower being away from the pod, meaning you had to get dressed to use the facilities, but I suppose it's all part of the fun. Very friendly service and the food is gorgeous 👍

This is my 3rd visit to The Tan Hill Inn and I love it every time. Each occasion I have been then it has been after a walk around the moors, so I have built up my appetite which is a good thing because the servings are generous! This occasion was the first time with my wife so she got to experience it also and she too really liked it. We were only having lunch so I cannot rate the rooms but from what I hear they are very good, and I guess they must be as bookings are very popular. Each time I have been it has been around 1:30pm and I must say this is very much a “peak” time for food so be prepared to wait and queue for food and drink, but it will be worth it. It appears to calm down about around 2:30pm so if you don’t want to queue then aim for this time onwards I would suggest. As for the food then it isn’t a long wait and it will fill you up. I had simple fish and chips, and my wife had one of their home made pies. Both really flavoursome and good value for money. We didn’t have dessert as we were full after that. I really recommend their dark skies stout by the way, a great substitute for those who like Guinness. A fantastic place and one we will always try to incorporate into our Yorkshire trips if we can.

Went up for an evening meal on Saturday. The service was brilliant; lovely, friendly and helpful staff. We ordered fish and chips, and fruit crumble for dessert. The food was outstanding ❤️ well worth the money and the drive up there.

Amazing location, we only had starters but they were really nice and fresh. The atmosphere is quite special in the evening with lots of people staying over and chatting to each other. We camped out back for £10 per tent with amazing views. The toilet for campers is fine. Allowed us to charge our bike batteries for free. You have to pre book breakfast!

Location and the drive is an experience... just watch out for the sheep on the road. You can feel the age and history in the place. Has a large range of beers. Had the stout and the tan Hill ale, both were delicious, and I could have drunk those all evening. The food is simply incredible, and if you've had a better hot pot or pie, I'd love to know where as these were unbeatable. Overall a great experience and phenomenal food and beer. It's a must visit....so much so we are going back again before we head home. Wish I could give it ten stars

Feeling like you have reached the top of the world? I went off my planned route to visit the highest recorded pub in the UK. Was worth it. Loved the setting with views for miles. A nice pub with a warm welcome, a selection of Real Ales & a good menu, should you make time to stay a bit longer than me. Ticked off my list, but I would be tempted to return if re-visiting the area.

A fantastic pub!! Greeted with a smile and roaring open fires!! Good choice of local ales, decided to have a meal whilst there, a very good range to choose from, very helpful and friendly staff, my wife is a Coeliac so needs gluten free and she had a very good choice. Meals chosen, then brought out and Wow, both were Devine. Two clean plates and two very full tummy's!! Would highly recommend it, well worth the trip!!

Had a lovely drive out to the pub for lunch. Amazing views, lovely friendly staff and a great little traditional pub with good food. Great for a day trip. We didn't stay over so I can't comment on the rooms, however we are planning on going back in winter for a stay and to see the snow.

What a stunning place, from the charm of the Inn to the gorgeous views for miles around, staff are really friendly, place is warm and cozy (warm temperature inside too) ample parking. I know it's the highest above sea level pub blah blah but the charm is the place itself and what the owners and workers make it. If your anywhere near then I'd strongly advise going

A must if you have a bucket list! Stayed here in my campervan for 2 nights. Had Sunday lunch here and wow! It was beautiful 😍. The scenery is outstanding from here. Well worth a visit.
