Just called in after a day at Fountains Abbey (only 10 minutes away). The food was spot on pub grub with friendly staff and locals. The icing on the cake is that they do a good range of gluten free meals.

My parents eat here whenever they pop through to Ripon so my Dad wanted us to try it too. Had a lovely Sunday dinner and dessert - great food & portion size, welcoming bar staff and fab service from the waiting staff - thank you very much �

An absolutely first-class friendly pub, very clean and with a great atmosphere. I didn't have a meal, so I can't comment on the food, but the beer was in great fettle and the barman was a real character. Special mention for the super clean toilets. Genuinely highly recommended.

Lovely clean, newly decorated pub with a real fire. Landlord was chatty and interested in our opinions but not intrusive. My husband was very pleased with his pint of cask ale!

Nipped in here after a Saturday evening curry at Moti Raj. Great choice of drinks & friendly staff, an added bonus was the live singer & guitarist followed by a top bit of karaoke to end the night. Will definitely be back again soon.

Nice friendly pub with good beer. This is now even better, as the interior gets its makeover the pub is much more comfortable and inviting. A really good place for an excellent pint and a chat. Still a nice pub, great beers, friendly staff and a nice environment to spend some time in.
