So! Bar And Eats Ripon

My wife, two daughters and I had dinner here on Saturday and it was absolutely fantastic. Booked online a few days before and even though we arrived 10 minutes early we were politely welcomed and shown to our table. The decor is great and So! was just a nice place to be. When we walked in we saw a few old fashioned games on the bar (great little extra). Our drinks order was taken and although we didn't have any cocktails the menu looked very good. Once delivered we ordered our food and grabbed a game from the bar. The food was amazing!! The steak and frites for only £10.95 was excellent my eldest said it's the best steak she has had. My wife and youngest opted to share a few starters. Cowboy fries, ribs, prawns and mozzarella bites. All the dishes were superb but the ribs were to die for. Good size portions and great value for money. All the staff were friendly and helpful throughout our meal. This is honestly one of the best places we have ever eaten in and we can't wait to go back soon.

The food at SO is all homemade and absolutely gorgeous. Our party of 5 all had something different and everything was delicious. Our 2 coeliacs had extensive choice and we all commented on the lovely crispyness of the buttermilk fried chicken. The staff were so friendly and welcoming and the service was excellent. Can't recommend this place enough. Brilliant experience.

Been visiting So, Ripon regularly for a while now and have never been disappointed. Visited Saturday and again were delighted. Extensive gluten free menu which almost mirrors the main menu. Food outstanding as usual. Staff and service excellent, very friendly and attentive. Nothing too much trouble. Dog friendly and wheelchair accessible. Will definitely be back

Had a great bar meal here. Popped in (with dog) at quarter to six. Decided to have two burgers (one veggie, one meat) and realised we were in time for the 2-for-1 offer. Bargain. Well, if they're good it's a bargain 😂 and they were great. In fact I reckon they're a bargain at full price. I couldn't fault mine in any way. It was a bit tricky to eat because it was full of two good quality patties (no cheap rubbish) plus cheese and bacon and dill pickle... I can live with this kind of problem. Plus proper bread bun... I have a thing about brioche. Why do so many places think burgers should be served in soft sweet squishy cake? Yuck. No such problem here fortunately I think to get the offer you have to buy a drink. I had a Belgian wheat beer, very very good. It's always great to find somewhere that takes pride in well-prepared food. Especially somewhere dog-friendly. Will definitely be back
