A proper village local.
Welcoming and friendly and they know how to care for beer!
Went on pub crawl (well, hike) around South Derbyshire today and made this my first stop.
Great village pub, friendly staff, Bass on tap, also Pedigree, Alton Abbey and San Miguel among other stuff on tap which is pictured below, decent amount of outdoor seating (much needed in this hot weather), and fantastic lunch, recommend the BLT with granary bread, was an absolutely rammed sandwich and the bacon was both thick and well done just how I like it.
Pint of Bass and the BLT in granary bread came to £8.05, which I don’t think is too too bad, I’m not well versed in what is a good price necessarily so you be the judge.
All in all, recommended for any pub crawler and casual drinker.
Very good pizza and prices are not but at all, so nice inside and outside but unfortunately the maintenance is not that good a table outside was a bit dirty, anyway it was a nice to eat there
