We had the anniversary tour today and loved it. Friendly welcoming staff, clean, comfortable surroundings. Our guide was enthusiastic and incredibly knowledgeable.
A fascinating tour ending in a very enjoyable tasting.
I would recommend this, even to those who don't drink whiskey.

Very good tour, exceptional knowledge and really welcoming. We went for The create your own whisky tour. The tour was amazing, the making and tasting at the end was equally as good. The members of staff were really helpful at the tasting and mixing part of the tour. Fully recommend a visit even if you don’t like Whisky, the atmosphere and surroundings are to be enjoyed by all.
Absolutely loved my experience here! Went for the create your own whisky tour for my partners birthday. I myself am not a whisky drinker but still had an amazing day learning about how it’s made here and tasting some! Special thanks to Mike who lead our tour! He was very knowledgeable and kind and was an all round great host. All the staff were incredibly friendly and passionate about where they work. Would recommend anyone who’s in the area to go and have a look at this wonderful family owned company :)

Went for the Whisky tasting tour and Chris was our guide. Overall it was a pleasant experience that wasn't too long, wasn't too short, and was well worth the price. I thought the information presented about the distillery and making whisky was very interesting. I was fairly knowledgeable about whisky and the process of distilling prior to the tour, but I definitely picked up a few new bits of information. Obviously Scotland leads the world when it comes to whisky, but it was quite nice to learn that the whisky produced at the English distillery sets itself apart by England's natural climate. It matures faster and pulls characteristics out of the casks faster, resulting in a fine quality whisky at ages 10-12 that match the quality and maturity of whiskies normally labeled 16-18 years of age. Chris was a fantastic guide, knew his stuff, and hosted an amazing tasting with humor and poise. The tasting room was beautifully set upon entry and really was a sort of extravagant end to the tour. They had 5 different whiskies to taste, a water dropper, a note-taking sheet, 2 English Distillery taste glasses to take home, and takeaway cups for samples unfinished. Thanks Chris for a great tour!
Took a two and a half hour drive today for a great day out at The English Distiller! Cyril was our host and really made us feel welcomed and made the tour very personal asking us questions as well as us asking him. Chris was active in his whisky making which was great to see and have a chat with him as at larger distilleries you don’t always get the chance.
The whisky we drank was wonderful and the tasting room was great I loved it.
Took a little walk around the local stream and it was very picturesque. Definitely 5/5 recommend

The 15 year anniversary tour was really good. The tour groups are small and intimate and you actually get up close and get to see first hand the process behind how they are creating whisky. Questions were welcomed and all mine were answered.
At the end of the tour we were taken into the 'library' where we got to see all the whisky they have made to date and were offered tastings of their popular whisky. I had my eye set on the sherry cask which was not part of the tasting but they kindly let me sample it.
The staff are really friendly and knowledgeable.
The tour and tasting took around an hour but leave time to explore the shop.
Wonderful experience of whisky tour we had indeed and £20 per person ticket is really cheap. We have been to many scotch whisky distilleries and this one has exceeded our expectations. They explained the whole whisky making process in the tour unlike the expensive scotch whisky factories. We had whisky tasting too and had an delicious meal at their restaurant.
Went there today 6th Aug 2023, the whole place is immaculate and well presented, staff were friendly and knowledgeable.
We ended up with just the 3 in our party on the 11 am tour, Mark the tour guide asked up front if we were all into whiskey, whilst my father in law is very much into whiskey me and my brother in law not so much. Not phased Mark began to tell the story of the distillery making sure to engage us all and lay out the history leading up to present day. Painting a wonderful picture that was easy to follow and enticing. In every section of the distillery he took the time to outline what the equipment was used for and explained the whole whiskey journey from start to finish.
By the time we were heading for the tasting Mark had done such a great job of explaining the whole process even me and my brother in law were looking forward to it.
By the end of the tour we all left with a bottle of something and a whole lot of new knowledge. Thoroughly enjoyable and highly recommend
Had a really nice afternoon out. Lunch in the restaurant great and the 1 hour standard tour was very interesting. John our guide was very knowledgable and friendly. Would recommend !!
What a fabulous open day at the English Whisky Co, great atmosphere. Tour and tasting, PX and Nog are a must to try. Staff extremely helpful and proud to promote the company.
