Visited the shop and have eaten here twice in the last few weeks, both times have been very enjoyable, good food in a relaxed environment and friendly staff- couldn't ask for more. The range of quality produce and ingredients in the shop inspires me to cook for enjoyment which can often wane with a young family.

Fred and his team did a private party for us - Sarah and Ivan (not the company) for 80 people. His team were superb, helpful polite and delivered everything on time with a smile. The food was amazing and the feedback we had from our guests was full of praise and delight. The freshness of the food and quality was excellent and worthy of a top London restaurant. Placed an order online for collection. First time in the shop and it has a very good selection of items to purchase. I was most impressed with the cheese counter.
Collected our 6.5kg turkey this Christmas, and had the usual wonderful friendly welcome from Sam and Fred, despite them being so busy. The turkey was for all of the the most amazing bird we have ever cooked. The juices that poured out of the meat as I carved it and the fantastic flavour were just wonderful. our guests from all over England were bowled over by it - brilliant! The chipolatas that went with it had a great flavour also. Well done Stansted Farm shop and all the best for 2016.
Great range of products the cafe is good too. I keep missing the meat counter but always looks tasty. Some products are not as cheap as you might hope but it's a nice range of goods which are always available but you wouldn't find them in the supermarket. A little strange for the farm shop to have a cafe which competes against to other cafes on site...
There is only one problem with the Farm Shop, I always buy more than I intended to! Excellent range of food and gifts. Quality is superb and map shows local sourcing. It is not cheap but then I am happy with a smaller amount of taste and quality to bland mass production. Not for your everyday shop but give yourself some treats. For me the cheeses are the star of the show.
If you want your meat & Veg local produced, with a real air of quality then this is the place for you!
We had a Free Range Turkey at Christmas, which I have to say was the tastiest bird ever to grace our table.
Fred & Sam who run the shop are always on hand to help you with any requirements you may have from, Local Game to what Veg to have with it.
They also run various courses, the latest addition to which is a sausage making affair with some beer thrown in. As I am rather partial to a sausage or two, I will definitely be booking myself up to learn how.
Chuck the kids in the Maze, wonder round the grounds are have Tea in the Pavilion Tea Rooms after, plenty to do for everyone.
Highly Recommended.
We had my sister's funeral celebration here.
(We didn't want a "wake"). It was a lovely summer evening so we were mostly outside. The food was wonderful and the wait staff attentive but unobtrusive. It could not have been better. Many thanks to Fred and his team.
