A wonderful inviting pub with delicious food and very friendly atmosphere. Great to relax with a glass of wine or chat with mates over a beer. Excellent beer garden too. Also family friendly, what more could anyone ask.

Lovely family friendly pub, rocks next to it for great fun adults and kids! Could spend a good half day chilling in the pub garden and the rocks.

Went to see a band. First time at Toad Rock. Great atmosphere. Lots of indoor and outdoor seating. Didn’t try any food or need parking or wheelchair accessibility so can’t comment. The bar staff were fantastic, so friendly and speedy. When we arrived we saw a lot of families, there were outdoor activities. Will go back with children.

What a joyful experience I had, yesterday, at the Toad! I think they call this a hidden gem. I had a couple of pints and some delicious fish & chips while sitting at the bar. A very friendly and accommodating pub with a warm and cozy atmosphere. Great conversation with the local patrons and Meghan, the manager and bar tender, was a really lovely person.

Really excellent traditional "proper" pub grub in their sunny garden. The kids' meals looked great too! We'll definitely be back

Excellent traditional pub, named after the famous rocks, opposite. I probably had my first ever pint in this pub - the earlier incarnation before it was rebuilt after the fire - back in 1983. (Admittedly, I was only 16 🥺).
We used to live in Bretland Road, only a short walk via Harmony Street, and Apsley Street. Back then, there was also the Toad Rock Tavern.
For me, it's a short walk from the town centre, about 20 minutes. And you traverse the amazing Common.

Lovely decor, friendly staff and amazing food. The two way fire is so inviting with comfortable sofas to chill and enjoy you drink.

Really lovely pub with garden. Traditional menu and very friendly staff indeed. Kids can play on the rocks and sandpit. Seems to be a hidden little gem out of the hussle and bussel of Tunbridge Wells. Worth a visit.

Great food and really good staff. Good value for money. Beer was well kept. Service was quick and friendly.

Really nice place situated around a couple of popular climbing spots. Really nice scenery and lovely garden. It gets very popular, especially on sunny days. In the summer there is also a really nice pizza truck that parks up every Tuesday. It only loses a star because it is a pub and doesn't have any good ales. If this changes then I will update my review.
Update - I have been back a couple of times and really love it here. I do not think the lack of ales grants a lost star.
