Very nice first visit. Divided Bar, Lounge, Restaurant, and outdoor eating areas (and a play area with climbing frame for young children). Food and drinks very reasonably priced along with a board full of specials. We were a party of six who walked up to The Bell Inn from the canals (because The Waterside kitchen closes at 2pm on Mondays and Wednesdays). We ordered different dishes, from bangers and mash to vegetarian lasagna to sea bass. All very well presented, served all at once. Good dessert menu too. Very friendly, attentive and helpful staff. I certainly hope to return.
Came for family party with buffet but also ate dinner and breakfast here. Lovely, well-run, popular pub. Great food, service and atmosphere. Sadly don’t live in the area or would come back often.
I met my in-laws here to do a kid-swap as they'd been to stay with the grandparents. We live on the South coast, they live near Hull. While the food was good, the service really let it down. We met at 6pm & by the time we'd all a had main meal & one person had a pudding (we had to remind them to make it), it was 8.15pm! Too late starting the drive home, so not a place we'd use again for this purpose. Sad really, as it was a good location off the M1 & the food was good, but only go if you've got time on your hands.
Nice food, great service. Our server went above and beyond to make our meal as experience as good as possible. It was my daughter's birthday and it was the best cake reveal we have had from any local pub/restaurant. Thank you
We popped to The Bell this morning for a late breakfast/brunch. We were seated quickly and asked if we would like any drinks so ordered coffees. The menu didn’t mention Gluten Free options for Brunch but when we asked it was easily accommodated and I was given extras for the things I could have to compensate for the things I couldn’t which was lovely as not many other places will do this ! The food was really, really good. All hot and really tasty. Nice relaxed atmosphere and not made to feel in the least bit rushed. Definitely recommend and will return soon - thank you ! Zoë & Paul
Came here for a date night, we arrived at about 6pm and stayed till closing - it has a lovely atmosphere - we sat outside by the heated patio seating, and had a lovely evening. We both had pizza and some fries, and the food was brilliant too! Will definitely come back here!
We had the pie of the day, which was steak & ale. Very nice, best pie we've had in a long time. Dog friendly, but you have to eat in the bar area where the hard floor is rather than the restaurant - it was fine tho. Good service and friendly staff. There's a car park.
Friends had been and recommended the roast dinner. We were not disappointed.
Fabulous food and friendly staff, we will definitely return.

Friendly and helpful staff. Unexpectedly excellent starters, main meals were good but nowhere near as good as the starters. The katsu chicken topping really needs some kick, rhis was more like a pot of curry sauce. The chicken in the sauce had no bite at all. The starters set the bar very high.
We were a party of three that went here for lunch. The staff were friendly and the food was fantastic. I would highly recommend to all
