Found this place as it was a halfway point for myself and a friend. Service was amazing, couldn't fault it. Food was amazing with bottomless veg, gravy and Yorkshire puddings all at a reasonable price. Thank you The White Bear.

Went for a Sunday Roast. Food was excellent,meat was cooked to perfection & roast potatoes were fantastic! Staff were very friendly & attentive. Nice atmosphere, venue was very busy. Food was reasonably priced. Would definitely go back.

Very good food and wine. Better than some other restaurants I've visited. They didn't object to cooking my steak as I liked it, which was well done, unlike a well known French bistro chain who like to 'recommend' medium. This might be OK for the majority of diners, but it doesn't suit me, so it was refreshing to find an establishment who went out of their way to cook steak as the customer likes it. An excellent meal served by friendly staff. Thank you.

Fantastic meal at The White Bear. Eaten several times over the years but the food was up a level last night. Whether new chef or improved dishes. We all said how delicious food was. I had the sea bream dish which superb. My friend had whole place and she said was so delicious, the best she'd had which considering just back from Majorca, eating fresh fish, that's a huge compliment. Lastly must praise the staff who were all so good but particularly Surajit Gosht. What a lovely, friendly, helpful waiter. So rare these days. We asked about the Raymond Blanc chain and he was very knowledgeable and said the meat and fish was from same source as the Royal household! No wonder it was excellent. Oh, and one of my friends had the Beef Rib (I'd almost ordered) and she said was amazing. Well done White Bear! 👏👏👏

Superb roast beef lunch on Sunday. The food was cooked just as it should be (meat and vegetables), the Yorkshire puddings and gravy were very good. The service was professional and very friendly from everyone who served us, to the extent that as we were an odd number of people they found someone to even up the numbers.

Went in for lunch and the staff really looked after us. The staff take pride in their service and are very knowledgeable about the food they serve. Witnessed the staff take care of two elderly customers with massive amount of attention and respect. the white bear should be proud of their staff and food. Burgers are great and we will be back for our 5th visit soon =).

Wow, what an amazing place! We had dinner here after our wedding and the food was amazing. We really can’t thank the staff enough for everything they did to give us an amazing day/night to remember. Special thanks goes to Patrick and Rory in particular, they are both absolutely brilliant.

We could not fault the staff, checking on you regularly even though it was very busy.
