Very good food and wine. Better than some other restaurants I've visited. They didn't object to cooking my steak as I liked it, which was well done, unlike a well known French bistro chain who like to 'recommend' medium. This might be OK for the majority of diners, but it doesn't suit me, so it was refreshing to find an establishment who went out of their way to cook steak as the customer likes it. An excellent meal served by friendly staff. Thank you.

Went for a Sunday Roast. Food was excellent,meat was cooked to perfection & roast potatoes were fantastic! Staff were very friendly & attentive. Nice atmosphere, venue was very busy. Food was reasonably priced. Would definitely go back.

The place is very welcoming, tastefully decor, and with a very useful parking lot!
Is really a great place for celebrations with friends or family or just for a relaxed and tasty meal with your significant other !

Found this place as it was a halfway point for myself and a friend. Service was amazing, couldn't fault it. Food was amazing with bottomless veg, gravy and Yorkshire puddings all at a reasonable price. Thank you The White Bear.

The staff were attentive but also gave you plenty of space to think and decide. The cheese souffle and duck was absolutely amazing. Really recommend. The pistachio souffle is big portioned and also extremely light but tasted of almond, not pistachio but it was still nice.

This is my favourite pub of all times! So dog friendly, with a lovely ambience. Rory, is one of the sweetest and most helpful managers ever! We pitched up yesterday with 3 dogs and made the wrong kind of table booking, but they accommodated us nonetheless. The food is great, local, organic, tastes amazing. My only suggestion is possibly that they could have more vegan options (for my friend, not me, I am hardcore carnivore!). The cocktails are also lovely. The food is very reasonably priced for the quality and I don’t give food praise lightly. Overall an amazing pub and can’t wait to visit again!

Warm, cosy atmosphere. Super helpful and friendly staff. Food was so good and cooked so well. Dog friendly beer garden at the back, bar at the front and restaurant inside. Can't wait to try a different dish next time. Highly recommend!

Fantastic meal at The White Bear. Eaten several times over the years but the food was up a level last night. Whether new chef or improved dishes. We all said how delicious food was. I had the sea bream dish which superb. My friend had whole place and she said was so delicious, the best she'd had which considering just back from Majorca, eating fresh fish, that's a huge compliment. Lastly must praise the staff who were all so good but particularly Surajit Gosht. What a lovely, friendly, helpful waiter. So rare these days. We asked about the Raymond Blanc chain and he was very knowledgeable and said the meat and fish was from same source as the Royal household! No wonder it was excellent. Oh, and one of my friends had the Beef Rib (I'd almost ordered) and she said was amazing. Well done White Bear! 👏👏👏

Went in for lunch and the staff really looked after us. The staff take pride in their service and are very knowledgeable about the food they serve. Witnessed the staff take care of two elderly customers with massive amount of attention and respect. the white bear should be proud of their staff and food. Burgers are great and we will be back for our 5th visit soon =).

Superb roast beef lunch on Sunday. The food was cooked just as it should be (meat and vegetables), the Yorkshire puddings and gravy were very good. The service was professional and very friendly from everyone who served us, to the extent that as we were an odd number of people they found someone to even up the numbers.
Best Sunday roast at a pub for a number of years!

It was our first time in The White Bear. The staff were friendly, the food was amazing and our Amaretto Sour was epic.

Came here to celebrate my husband birthday, we celebrated over a superb meal and few glasses of bubbles..
Only some of us ordered starters, I had the king prawn scallops.....delicious.
We all enjoy it very very much, my grandad of 96 had the pie and mash, eat the plate clean..
Service was great, staff very attentive, food came out in good timing and we all bad a great dining experience.
