Meeting relatives so wanted somewhere which offered covered outdoor seating to shelter from sun. Had to wait a while before a free table was available (arrived at 2.00 pm). Service was reasonable and orders taken at the table. Drinks and cakes were acceptable.

An absolute joy of a time today for afternoon tea with my best friend, celebrating my 30th Birthday.
Lovely fresh made sandwiches and one of the best scones I’ve ever had. Extremely well portioned and such a lovely taste.
The atmosphere outside was stunning. Really felt like we were in a European city on holiday. Would highly recommend.
A special thanks to Nicky for serving us with a smile and having a chat about the local area.

Inexpensive place for lunch & to expand my knowledge of the Tiptree range. Don't expect high end decor etc, it's really a cafe that also does afternoon tea. Food service was slow, which was surprising as we arrived after the lunch rush. However the food was very good & generously portioned - I've never eaten so much pate in a single sitting before & even then I didn't finish it.

Thank you to the wonderful staff who allowed us to hold a small surprise 40th Birthday afternoon tea here today. They were so helpful and accommodating, and the service was excellent. The food came out and was as good as it looked! I cannot recommend highly enough - and the waitress was super friendly - fantastic service x

Great portion with reasonable price! Child friendly, good smiley service truly is the charm of this place.
They always have 6, 7 different kinds of freshly baked cakes as well!

The experience is always amazing and filled with tasty desserts and filling lunches. The tea room is always packed in the morning and afternoon defiantly proves its popularity by the locals in town (Me included).
Staff are friendly and efficient in providing menus and enough time to browse before ordering. Their cakes are always amazing and I can't get enough of their sausage sandwiches.
Also their hot chocolates are so chocolatey with their extras of marshmallows and a flake/twirl, making it a tasty treat to have when passing through.
I would highly recommend their choice of cakes and snacks as the perfect place for passing through when in town.
