Lovely view! Coffee is great and the breakfast was really good too! Veggie breakfast comes with bubble and squeak style sausages and the tomatoes really are lovely they aren't lying!

A real shame to see some negative press recently. We had a couple of absolutely delicious bacon sandwiches here last Thursday, lots of thick cut fried bacon and lovely fresh bread for £6 each. Well worth the money. Service was excellent, the only reason I've given it 4 for atmosphere was due to the vulture-like gulls waiting to steal our food - sadly out of the control of the café staff..

We wanted a reasonably priced fish and chips and found Captain Morgan's Cafe on Fore Street using Google Maps. The fish and chips was freshly cooked and very tasty. The fish was nicely battered and the chips tasted good too, with some of the potato skin left on for some extra texture and flavour. We ate outside the cafe where the tables face the Salcombe Pier overlooking Salcombe Creek so a nice location to eat at. Easy to find right in the centre of town.

Excellent service, generous portions and probably the most reasonable prices in Salcombe! The milkshakes were lovely too. Good seagull -frightening skills at outside tables.

Easy ordering service. Order at the hatch and pick a table to sit at either outside or in their cafe area inside. At least one third of their menu was unavailable, due to them not having pitta bread, but we were offered an alternative type of bread by a very polite waiter. Nice, uncomplicated food, perfect for our fussy toddlers. I ordered mozzarella and tomato baguette (I enjoyed it very much), my hubby had a prawn baguette and my two toddlers shared a smoked salmon and cream cheesss sandwich. Readonably priced.

Great food, great staff. Typical of grockles to not understand that sometimes service can be slow because the population of the town goes up 5 fold in the summer months and all businesses are short staffed because they have made it too expensive for ordinary people to live in Salcombe. Want fast food go to McDonalds and stay at home. Want decent home cooked food this is your place.

What an amazing place. Was very very busy but staff couldn't do more than enough to make your experience enjoyable. The poached eggs were amazing and perfectly cooked.
