Nova's Bistro

If I could give the food more than five stars I would. Simply put - perfect. The way the chef creates the menus based on what ingredients he has available, and produces food of the quality he does, is nothing short of heavenly. The Sark lamb and apricot lollipop made my partner and I well up it was that good, and the steak that followed it was presented beautifully, cooked perfectly, seasoned perfectly, served with the most incredible garlic butter; it was tender, juicy, fresh, and absolutely divine. I wish I could give the chef a Michelin star rather than a tip. All in all, if you find yourself on Sark of an evening, please, PLEASE go to Nova's and have the meal of a lifetime. Thank you so much for having us and for serving us that meal. you've topped off an already perfect holiday.

A very unassuming place. You come in and are greeted with an extremely warm welcome from the lovely staff. The beers are all in cans and bottles in the fridge, no tap, which might lead some people to feel a certain way about the place. Please let me divest you of that opinion here. We ordered the "rustic roll" with a beef patty and an egg mayo sandwich. The lady that took our order was a delight, extremely friendly and went over and above to make sure we had everything we wanted. We didn't have high expectations of the food but the place was so friendly that we didn't mind. Boy were we surprised. The food is FANTASTIC. Gourmet level food in an unassuming and kindly atmosphere. The burger was fantastic, the chips were sublime and even my colleague was extremely impressed and delighted by his humble egg mayo sandwich. Whenever I'm back to Sark this will be my food place of choice and I look forward to trying their seafood dishes. A real hidden gem of The Avenue and I really recommend giving it a try. It is open on Mondays too, which not a lot of places are.
