Always a great day shooting here. There's something for every level of skill, a really well equipped shop and the staff are always friendly and helpful. I won't go anywhere else now as High Lodge has everything to offer that I need. 10/10

A super shooting ground with over 30 stands throughout a superbly kept woodland. We only had 3 “No birds” out of 500 clays. The clubhouse and shop staff were polite, friendly and very helpful. I would definitely recommend. The only thing that could improve the experience is a few more gun racks. We were surprised at how many stands had nowhere to stand your beloved shotgun. But overall it’s one of the best shooting grounds in the UK.
Fantastic place to learn to shoot, my 10yr old is currently having lessons with Oliver. He is very relaxed and patient, nothing is too much trouble and his teaching method is a pleasure to watch.
The variety of stands and layout is great.
Fabulous coffee and cake in the clubhouse.
The food being served looks good too.
A shop full of clothing and bits is useful and the holiday huts look very smart.
I can see we will be spending many days here.

We have had a fantastic weekend in Woodpecker Lodge and attended a wedding reception at the main venue, and have thoroughly enjoyed High Lodge - from the very friendly welcome, to the staff at the reception everyone has been so so lovely . The Lodge was perfect - very clean - had everything we needed and the staff had tried to keep it cool during this heatwave. We thoroughly enjoyed the beautifully clean hot tub !
The wedding reception was perfect and such a comfortable venue - all on one level and well thought out - attentive service again and good food.
All in all we have had a super weekend and would certainly return - a very special place.
Absolutely brilliant day enjoyed by all! The 10 of us spent the day for a friend's (stag do) which comprised of archery, clay shooting then finished with air rifle target shooting. The instructors were fantastic and their expertise/knowledge really showed in making you a better shot than your last which in turn made you feel more confident. Then there's the food, bacon roll for breakfast tea/coffee, a variety for lunch but I had the curry, absolutely delicious! Thanks for a great day, I will definitely be returning... 😎👍🏼
Lovely stay in swift lodge, well equipped comfortable clean lodge, staff are friendly and very helpful. Hot tub is great in all weathers . Activities are great specially the fishing. It’s in a lovely area lots of nice places to visit. We will be back again next year.
Been here lots and never got round to doing a review.
Been shooting with friends and family members on mutliple occasions and always a good time, instructors always knowledgeable and helpful to those less experienced.
Also take my son to archery a few times and to use the rifle range again instruction was brilliant and can't recommend enough.
I got a 1 hour air rifle instruction for Xmas my son who is 11 years old and myself were greeted by Oliver wilde our instructor fantastic guy who explained how the guns worked how to handle them safely nothing was to much trouble he was so patient with my son who was a little nervous to start
I already own a air rifle and I'm now purchasing one for my son to use on the rifle range I can't recommend this place enough and the staff go above and beyond
Massive well done high lodge we will be back very soon as my son didn't want to leave 🤣
Went for a couple hours to shoot some air rifles with a friend. Great ranges with targets at various distances. The satisfying ding on the bell at about 30yards, perfect. Will definitely be visiting again for the range and some clay shooting next.
