Liked the fish and chips, and also the curry sauce..
However, the fish was too oily
The sitting area could be more hygienic and clean

Very popular fish and chip place on the coast. They are very fast with preparing the food though. Prices are reasonable and food is very good with fresh fish, crispy batter and delicious chips. We come here every time we come to Scarborough!
Got the combo and it was very good value. Think it was only £6 something for fish, chip, fishcake and peas. All made to order so can take a while but worth it.
Went with my family. Food was good. Price was decent. My kids are fussy they enjoyed their fish & chips. Wife loved it. They was really busy the man behind till I believe the owner gave me hand full of ketchups free. Recommend.
Sue and Lizzie served us last week and I can honestly say they were the best shop bought chips I've had in a long time, Not greasy at all , hot and full of flavour......and plenty of them ! I cant understand anyone saving the portions are small...they are not. You can choose different portions sizes if you want but there is always plenty of them. I'm coeliac and I was hoping that I would be able to get a gluten free batter , alas the dedicated fryer is broken and as they are not cheap it will be next year before a new one is ordered . This was very politely explained to me with numerous apologies......regardless of that the chips were 10/10 and its well worth a visit if you are taking in the Scarbados sea front.

Excellent service today from Stevie (who normally is at the Blackpool branch) and the staff. We knew what we wanted to eat but was helpfully advised what was the best value meals for us. Delicious food as usual. Love Papas on our summer jollies.

Fantastic fish n chips, all cooked fresh, the portion size is massive. Sue, who served us, was very friendly, the fish is bought fresh every day directly from the harbour. Definitely worth a visit.
The large portion was so big even my fat mate couldn't finish it.. 🤣
Sue was so pleasant and helpful! Walked me through me menu and the best deals for me and my family! The food was super fresh and hot! The curry sauce is not like a normal chips shop curry. It was lovely!
