First visit to this lovely pub. Well worth a visit just for the steak and ale pie. I think it's the best pie I have eaten in a pub or restaurant. Lovely friendly barmaid.

Pub itself is gorgeous inside and out and has such a good atmosphere. Staff are all brilliant so friendly and helpful. The food is lush so tasty couldn’t fault anything, proper hidden gem will deffo be visiting again x

Last night, we went to the Ferry Boat with a group of friends. This is an attractive pub restaurant on the banks of the River Trent. There is a good choice of food, including vegan dishes. We chose lamb koftas, pate, chilli prawns, calamari, and mushrooms on toast to begin.
Main course were fish and chips, sirloin steak, and Caesar chicken salad.
And desserts were white chocolate cheesecake, and chocolate brownie.
There is a good selection of wine, beers and coffees.
The restaurant was only half full, but other friends were unable to book a table as they were told the restaurant was fully booked. I am told that this frequently happens - not good.

Pretty much faultless. In fact, it was completely faultless!
Friendly service, great food with things adapted to meet my fussy demands due to intolerances, and an amazing view of the Trent.
I'm literally going to make the two hour round trip again come day of pay!

Had a birthday meal with friends and was extremely impressed with the food and service. Steph and the rest of the staff were excellent. They were very welcoming and you could the warmth as soon as you entered. I am returning for fathers day to treat him to their carvery which I have been told is delicious. I would recommend this place to anyone and everyone. The beer garden is lovely as well. I also felt the price was very reasonable especially as the food was excellent.

Went to the steak night and wow what a fantastic little pub, everything about it was perfect, the surroundings are beautiful and staff were very welcoming and attentive, the food was fantastic and great value, we'll definitely be visiting again soon 😀
