Popped by here when passing and very pleasantly surprised, for a small inconspicuous cafe the food is incredible and amazing value, we will be back
All cafes should be made this way! What a great experience.
Met a couple of friends for an early lunch and we also had a toddler with us.
Everything was brilliant from start to finish including the food and service and it was very busy (Tuesday). The menu choice has something for everybody and we opted for the jacket potatoes and satay chicken followed by excellent coffee and tiffin. The toddler was catered for perfectly and with a smile. The prices very reasonable and presentation fabulous - so nice to have a hot baked potato with crispy skin rather than the usual dry microwaved offerings. I even bumped into a couple of friends who I hadn't see since school days - 50 years ago! They seemed to be enjoying a fabulous afternoon tea.
We will be back - just hope we can get a seat!
Posh Nosh nights are on the last Saturday of each month.
We had booked in July of last year to eat in January 2020.
The food was excellent, very tasty, nicely presented and plenty of it. The service was with a smile and Amanda, the owner, is so pleasant.
You are sent a menu a couple of weeks before you are due to go and there are 3 choices of starter, main and dessert.
Take your own wine with just a small corkage charge. You can put your bottle in the fridge to keep it cool until you are ready to drink it.
A great night out.
Already booked again although we can’t get in till next January.
Great place for lunch and coffee. My favourite place for jacket potatoes ,healthy soup, pulled ham hocks sandwiches and scotch egg (I found it s difficult to choose as they are all delicious!).
Food are freshly prepared ,all good quality and excellent service! Always very busy here. Hope you can get a seat 😀
Came here with my son for the first time today and was not disappointed! What a lovely little place with a comprehensive menu to choose from. It’s a clean cosy warm cafe serving freshly prepared food
My son had brie cranberry and apple on brown bread with a mixed salad and Yorkshire Tea; I had Eggs Royale with Americano served with soya milk. Both were nicely presented and delicious
We were served by the owner Amanda, a lovely friendly welcoming lady. We will be back soon! Thank you very much
We use this place for our working day lunches quite often now, it’s like the treat of eating out while at work. Not your run of the mill sandwich shop!!!
This was our first visit to 'that place' but most certainly will not be our last. This is a lovely cafe, exceptionally clean and very well maintained. The menus are glorious, no matter what time of day you go, an excellent and varied selection. We both ordered scrambled eggs on toast, with crispy bacon, we both agreed that the eggs were out of this world so creamy and tasty. For anyone looking for somewhere new to try, give yourself a treat and give it a try there.
Called in on spec for lunch on a dreary Saturday. The welcome was very good and it was a bustling cafe.
The interior is very clean with imaginative decor - staff friendly and happy to answer queries with a smile.
Our food arrived freshly cooked and was excellently presented. We will certainly be back!
So lucky to live close to this cafe, fantastic breakfast and lunch dishes, real attention to detail and friendly service.
The service & food is very high standard, best jacket potato in Sheffield & hot coffee ... also recommend the scotch egg
Along with a group of family and friends (19 of us in total), we went to That Place last night. We had the whole place to ourselves and had a brilliant night. The food was really good and the portions were very generous. The service was superb, very professional and efficient. I would recommend That Place without hesitation and hope to be back there soon.
Fantastic bistro restaurant. Beautiful food, lovely atmosphere. Really friendly place. Also had a breakfast during the week after the party night which was also superb and very reasonably priced. Lovely coffee.
This is definitely a hidden gem! Amazing quality food and great selection, different to many other places I've been, a refreshing change. I'll be back..
From the outside it looks pretty average but wow it is fantastic. The decor is lovely. and the service is great. There’s a good range of food to choose from, I’ve had the halloumi, watermelon and mint salad several times and it’s delicious. The prices are very good especially considering the quality of the food.
Been here this morning before we fly off to Tunisia and it was gorgeous those mushrooms lovely relaxin atmosphere fantastic service would recommend 5 star get yourself a down there people you won’t be disappointed
Friendly staff, well decorated cafe. Sandwich was perfect! Runny egg, delicious bread, tasty sausage. Coffee was nice too!!
Really enjoyed this place. It has all the makings of a hipster, good food, good portion size, local ingredients type place and all in a quirky front room feel. Not pretentious at all. Made to feel welcome and comfortable.
For size and quality of food it was well worth it. It’s not fast food as it’s all cooked to order in the back, so prepare for a wait. Because it’s cooked “live and local” I’m sure quality is varied, but you always get a special cooked for me feel. We however had good quality, tasty and fabulous food. The coffee was good too. Highly recommend the scotch egg!
We just called in on the advice of a shop keeper in the area. What a fantastic place. I had a chicken sandwich and my wife had a halloumi salad.
The sandwich was like door steps and full to overflowing with chicken, cheese and pickle. The salad filled the bowl to the top. Both were full of flavour, fresh, and loads of the thin crisps.
What a find.
Came here based on recommendation from a friend and wasn’t disappointed. The cafe is so cute inside and comfy seating. The staff were very friendly and helpful throughout. The afternoon tea was lovely and set out very nicely on a picnic bench (never seen that anywhere else). The food was delicious and a very good price! The only downside I had was that we were charged extra for another pot of tea and coffee when this should have been included in the afternoon tea. Otherwise a very nice visit here, I’d come again.
Arrived to a friendly warm welcome. This was our 2nd visit and they catered for my wife’s dietary needs (Gluten Free food). Everything was very tasty and very well presented. Would we visit again? Definitely
