Just a super experience, with a Chef who clearly not only k ows his craft, but tastes his food. Simply superb.

Booked for belated valentines. Atmosphere is nice and staff are pleasant, could maybe do with explaining the menus and recommendations on arrival (we didn't ask in fairness).
We had the starters of goats cheese with dukka and the ham hock croquette with cheese sauce both tasted great but the ham hock was my favorite.
Mains we had the beef cheek and the seabass. The wife liked the beef cheek but thought the rosti was a little over, I thought the seabass was nice and fresh however the skin wasn't crispy and it lacked a little acidity.
For dessert we had the basque chocolate cheesecake which was lovely and very rich we both thought that it needed some fruit or something to break that richness.
Overall a good experience but possibly it felt like it might be down to what is on the menu on the night you go that would lead the reviews.
We based our review against our time at Bench and both agreed that Bench just pipped it.
Overall experience was good and we would consider going back to see if anything is different.

Having recently moved into the area we were excited to finally be able to get a table and you can see why there is a good waiting list! Wow! The bread is out of this world and that’s before we even decided on a starter!
I ordered the beef cheek main that melted in the mouth and my partner had the risotto which was equally as delicious. We shared a honeycomb dessert and wish we could have ordered them all they all sounded delicious.
We had the table booked for a few months and it was definitely worth the wait. The lady serving was so nice and informative and we can’t wait to go back!
A good little tip would be to buy any accompanying wine from the wine shop a few doors down as they’ll pair a bottle or two for you.

Amazing place, after having visited NoName on several occasions the food somehow is getting better. The staff are brilliant and make you feel at home as soon as you walk through the door. An absolute gem 💎
And if you’re undecided on what pudding to get my advice is to always get both, you will thank me!

A fantastic experience all round! What I enjoyed most about No Name is the attention to detail to flavour to even the most simple ingredients. The flavours of the cream cheese as part of my starter and the side of potatoes with the main were outstanding. I had cheesecake for dessert which came with a rhubarb jelly! As creative as it was delicious. The service was friendly and efficient and the stylish, intimate atmosphere make this bistro one of the highlights of Crookes. Highly recommended.

Had a gorgeous evening at No Name. We had a range of dishes on the table and they were all excellent, attention to detail in each dish. Fish especially was cooked to perfection. High quality food, fresh ingredients, good portion size. Cosy atmosphere. Loved it!

The food was excellent quality. I think the only thing letting it down slightly is the service. It felt a bit rushed. We were asked for our food order very quickly upon entering the restaurant, so quickly infact that we'd not had chance to look at the menu. And then our mains came out at different times and there was no communication to say that my dish would be coming out soon.
With my main meal, the server said 'seabass' when I said yes, they plonked a bowl of new potatoes down... and then I had to wait a little time for the actual Seabass. My partner already had his dish.
The olives were taken from our table without asking if we'd finished with them. It was only one person serving the tables so I can appreciate they are busy.
I think the service needs a bit of improvement to match the standard of the food they are serving. The food is very good however and I'd recommend everyone trying it.

One of my favourite places to eat, the food is always amazing each time we go. Photos from multiple meals here! We always book here for a celebration.
One tiny side note: we recently were booked in for the earlier sitting and because the food took a little while we had to leave without the chance to order coffees and the dessert as the next table had arrived. Was a bit of a shame to be hurried out.
