This has to be one of the best pubs around Abbeydale and has the best selection of beers and ales, as well as cooking a cracking Sunday dinner. I can’t wait to go back it’s always a guaranteed winner. I went to one of the special evenings upstairs and it was a quirky take on a traditional British menu, with a twist! Pop in for a pint on a Friday or Saturday evening and there is a real buzz. The outdoor space at the back is very spacious and in the summer there is no where better!

Really wonderful pub and restaurant with and outdoor terrace area. Dog friendly too- can order food in the pub area with a dog (not in the restaurant area). Staff was really friendly and the selection of beverages is ace- cocktails, ales, and more!
I went for a good ol’ steak pie and it was great! The chips were big and juicy ! The bone marrow gravy was absolutely ace! The pie was filled with a lot of homemade goodness! My friends got fish n chips and the chicken and Brie pie which was also great!
Of course I has to finish off with the a dessert! The crumble was great - very tasty and hearty. Unfortunately the banoffee cake a bit chewy- microwaved? Overall, positive experience and will definitely love to come back to try more!

My first visit. An excellent pub with a great range of beers, plus excellent food and great service. Also a beer garden at the back and a bus stop outside. Will definitely call again.

First visit to this part of Sheffield. Casta and Boothroyd having done the research started us off in this awsome award winning pub ( for food as well as beer.) It is on the main road. Large and lovely interior with a selection of real ales spread around the large bar so peruse first. Casta chose a New Zealand Pale at 3.8% from the Black Iris brewery. Very good. Large patio beer garden to the rear. A sun trap on this glorious sunny June afternoon. A great find.

It was ok. Pub food with big portions . Nice staff. Big drink menu. I enjoyed my meal. But my partner said his was so so. I couldn't taste it do to allergies. The menu felt meat heavy but I did see vegetarian options and they did have a vegan gravy. The place was packed. I probably wouldn't go back.

Amazing choice of beer. Staff were really friendly [considering it was really really busy that says a lot], then there was the steak and kidney pie. In my 65 years, it's probably the best I've ever had [sorry Nan]. Thank you Broadfield great job

Love the Broadfield. Good food and drinks! Fun quiz night too!

Actually a 4 and a half star. Overall just a very good pub-restaurant. On the night itself it was very noisy. The service was good and so was the food. Nice selection of international beers (a bit pricy though). One of the waitresses reminded me of (a young) Cameron Diaz.

Great pub, the roasts are pretty consistently great. Lovely vibes full of kids and dogs. Always enjoy taking friends and family who are visiting Sheffield.

Hands down the best pub in Sheffield. The building is really nice with loads of seating, the drinks selection is great including a great non-alcoholic choice, the service is spot on and the food is AMAZING. Like, unexpectedly tremendous food

Sasha was absolutely fantastic, very quick service and food was immaculate!
Had the lamb shank with all the trimmings, and my partner has the hunters chicken burger - INCREDIBLE
Would recommend to anyone!

We booked the function room upstairs for a family celebration.
George looked after us impeccably and with great humour.
Cannot fault the room and the help and assistance we received was second to none
The food was beautiful as we know it always is at the Broadfield.
We had a wonderful celebration. Thank you the Broadfield!

Best pie ever, great real ale, great staff, great atmosphere

One of the best pub food I ever had in Sheffield.
Ten out ten, chicken pie was surprisingly great😍 better to share the Ham hock with 2-3 people, such a big portion, tastes lovely too.
Staffs are really nice. Overall experience was fantastic.
💯💯💯💯💯
I will definitely come back again and try different thing on the menu.
This is really good for family gathering❤️

Fantastic food, good place to eat.

Perhaps the nicest gravy I've ever had on a pie. I'm sure I used to teach the young lady serving us, and she was delightful. Atmosphere was a little flat, even though it was a quiz night.

Love this pub, great for a nice meal or a few drinks. It’s always busy and has a great atmosphere be it a midweek lunchtime or a Saturday night

Don’t give out many 5 stars but the pie I had was a beauty. The photo doesn’t do her justice really but she was loaded with quality filling, accompanied by nice gravy, peas and chunky chips.
Overall it’s a excellent pub, easily the best in the area with good selection of beers, spacious beer garden and lively. It’s changed a lot since it was my old local but still has a good vibe - shame the pool table has had to go though.

Gotta love the Broady, it's got great beers, great people, great beer garden and overall... Great , 💯

Amazing food & excellent customer service
We visited last Sunday, 3 adults & 2 children. We arrive a little late to discover our table had actually been booked for 30 minutes later, the server apologised & we had a drink in the bar whilst looking at the menus
When we were seated we were apologised to again our orders were taken straight away.
2 of us ordered the same sausage but when it arrived we were told our option had run out & we should have been advised of this, the server told us that our server was very new, 1 of us had the sausage that would be on the next menu, it was beef, beetroot, chocolate & pistachio, put together by new chef Dave. We both turned our noses up at this but didn't want to wait so my friend took the plunge, we were advised we would not have to pay for that meal. This strange concoction is something we would all order again as it was stunning. All plates went back to the kitchen empty.
During our meal we were also given a round of drinks for all the inconvenience.
The children as always had room for more we ordered childrens brownies but when the bill came we had been charged for adults (as this is what was given to us) I notified the 'new girl' & she sorted it.
Whilst some people might think this wasn't a great experience I can assure you it was the best any of us have had in a long time & this was reflected in our larger than normal tip.
I would highly recommend the Broadfield as a place for great beer, gin, food & customer experience. You do need to book at this time of year.

Not a pub anymore a disgrace to the word pub in the English language. Ignorant and disgraceful staff disgusting toilet facilities only God knows what the kitchen is like if it anything like the toilets don't eat there. Shame cos it did use to be a good pub.

Fantastic food, service and atmosphere. Simple robust food that lets quality ingredients do the talking. Stuffed baby squid was the best squid dish I've ever eaten in the UK. Amazing value!
Sarah Laidlow-Moore
Mixture of pub and restaurant, doesn't quite have a pub atmosphere. Food was reasonably priced. I had the Philly cheese steak, it was big but not particularly tasty, chips were nice.
The wine list was a bit limited.
Getting on to the Wifi was a bit of a faff.
Staff were attentive and pleasant.

The best pub in sheffield, great service, great beer selection, great food! Very polite and attentive staff

We received our food it good time, we had pie chips & peas , it looked lovely, but unfortunately our pease were room temperature! When the waiting staff came back to check we was satisfied I had a quiet word about the cold pease so that no one else would have the same experience, I declined any swoping of my food as I didn't want to wait. Then I noticed a chip (not the eating variety) in the side of my plate about the size of a 5p , when the waitress came to clear the table I pointed out the chip and said it needed to be put in the bin, she replied sorry about that most of our plates are chipped, we have some new ones on order !!!! This was mine & my husbands birthday lunch! when we looked round there was no more than 8 other people eating! Can't think why !!!! We won't be going back ! We usually go to the hardy pick but because it was our birthdays we thought we would go up market!!!! How wrong we were ! Hardy pick is so much better than this place & half the price!!!!

Excellent food and beer. We had steak & mushroom pie, chunky chips with mushy peas..Lovely friendly staff, prompt service and great surroundings. Ladies loos could do with a refurbishment.

This was our first visit, can't recommend it highly enough. Gorgeous food, reasonably priced and great atmosphere.

Missing a trick.
We went to stay with friends on Saturday with our two dogs and decided to go that night for drinks. Very dog friendly, ours weren't The only ones there. The place was heaving, even so we weren't waiting long to be served as there were sufficient staff who seemed to know what they were doing. Beer was nice too so we decided to go back for Sunday lunch... well this is where it 'all went Pete Tong'. Apparently the restaurant isn't dog friendly (nothing wrong with that, very few are) BUT then we were told we couldn't eat in the bar as they don't serve food in there. I feel they're missing a trick as people who have dogs do eat sometimes and have even been known to go out for food.

Fantastic place good food good beer so I'm told nice wine reasonable price

Real ale, decent beers (and cocktails), cosy, welcoming, laid back and unpretentious. Lively on Friday and Saturday... A good all rounder.
Helen Harrison
We went for a drink with friends to celebrate a joint birthday. The men liked the real ale, we girls enjoyed the white wine and, best of all, we were given a piece of cake with a firework to celebrate our birthdays. Lovely beer garden great atmosphere. Look forward to my next visit
