An increasingly rare find, The Huntsman's emphasis is on community and social bonding despite its semi-rural location, offering a plethora of amenities from its food, snacks, Thai food night, local honey for sale, pool, darts, outdoor seating, books, instruments, open mic night and other community events to give people every chance to visit. The drinks are good too if you enjoy cask ales, with several guests on rotation, mainly at very affordable prices. The interior is worn-in, but homely with musical instruments and memorabilia relating to hunting and local sports teams. The effort put into the operation should be highly commended in an environment that is causing such venues to close at an alarming rate.

Fabulous Easter Sunday lunch for 7 of us. All our food was delicious, the meats were really great quality and you provided a perfect nut roast dinner and veggie gravy for me 😊. Great selection of real ale too. All the staff were exceptional, so accommodating and really friendly. Such great value too. Thanks all 👏👏👏👏👏👏👏🐶

Had a very nice Sunday lunch here on Sunday 25th June with our family, 5 adults and 2 children. First class food as was the service. The pool room was made available for us and they made us most welcome. Roast dinners were delicious and served on piping hot plates with lashings of home made gravy and their home made deserts were also very good. All ln all very good and we hope to visit again.

A great little pub. Friendly staff and a cracking Sunday lunch. Really tasty and all homemade. Proper mashed potatoes and delicious gravy. Fresh veg and homemade Yorkshire puddings. Would definitely recommend and we will be going again.
