We had walked to the Pheasant, from the bottom of Fox Hill Road just to get some fresh air. The flickering flames outside were just the sight we needed after our stroll in the dark! The decor inside was a mixture of a modern but cosy pub; offering a welcoming atmosphere. Throughout our visit, the staff were attentive yet not over bearing- we even were able to chat with the chef as he came round the pub after we'd finished. The food was delicious- portion sizes and quality worth so much more than their reasonable price! A good selection, and the small plates idea is perfect for 'pickers' like us. We will definitely be back!

This pub is an amazing find! Has gone from being a traditional pub to looking very much like an up market bistro-type pub. The offer they have on is a tapas style menu with something for everyone's taste. Thoroughly enjoyed the food and no room for one of the delicious looking homemade puddings! Great to have this on our doorstep�

Popped in after having a walk around the area, We only planned to stay for a drink but we saw the food and decided to stay. And so glad we did.. amazing.. small plates were a good size and the fish tacos were outstanding 😂 all the staff were so friendly and attentive, we're moving to the area so we 100% will be back..

We have visited regularly over the last few years. Food is excellent, good quality and value. The biggest strength is the service! Always made to feel welcome and staff are very attentive. Thanks again for a lovely visit

Not a big menu choice which is often a good thing & understandable in the current climate but great food & very friendly staff & excellent service. Only slight negative was the treacle sponge which I didn't really enjoy.

Excellent food , great service , friendly management and great entertainment! Would recommend for a great meal out! Last minute family meal , no time to book but very obliging with a table , Thank you !!

First time here as we were staying nearby.From tge start the staff were very pleasant and seated us straight away.Got our drinks quickly and lovely waiting staff took our order quickly.Food came and it was delicious and very reasonably priced. The staff were very attentive but not to over the top.After main course we had dessert that was yummy and beautifully presented.All the staff were very nice.Will definitely go back when we visit that way again.

It's been 16 years since I've been in "the pheasant" I had pleasant memories.this visit was as nice as my last.the staff are pleasant friendly and professional.i found the food lovely also and at the end of the meal.we were allowed out our own leisure to settle the bill . which is a nice change

Great couple of hours in the sun trap terrace. Staff super attentive and great food, we just ordered a range of the small plates. Perfect to share and really tasty!
