Absolutely excellent little boozer in Shefftown - used to be my local quiz haunt. Head along on a Thursday evening to win beer vouchers... if your brain can beat my dad's excellent trivia knowledge.

I really like the walkley cottage, the food is good and the staff are very friendly. It also has a decent beer garden! We love going here for Sunday lunch. Great food.

Nice friendly staff, good drinks and the food was delicious! Three of us had the Beef 'n' Guinness Stew, one Liver, Bacon & Onions, one Fish 'n' Chips and one Children's Menu Tomato and cheese Pizza with Chips. Would definitely recommend.

Went into the cottage today for my friends birthday. There were four of us eating and we all ate different things. Two of our party had starters too. The menu was varied and interesting and I can honestly say we all thoroughly enjoyed it

I didn't have any good but I had a pint of lime and lemonade which I found very expensive at £3.95 Nice decor inside and friendly staff. Very spacious and clean. Good location with a decent sized beer garden and carpark. Plenty on street parking too.

We've been to the Walkley Cottage twice since it reopened. The new owner is very friendly and the staff are very helpful. We had the halloumi and chops the first time we went which was excellent and today we ordered from the new small plates menu, again excellent. There was a slight error with one of our dishes but this was corrected quickly and the staff were very apologetic. We will definitely be back for lots more meals out.

We had our daughters 1st birthday here last weekend and can't say enough good things about the venue and the team. Very flexible, attentive and friendly- would recommend!

The Landlord, Matt, is very friendly and the staff are all helpful. I have been there several times for Sunday Roast, usually having the Chicken fillet option, and the food has always been excellent in my humble opinion.

Strolled down from Crookes and found this lovely pub just before the steep descent to Hillsborough. Had a good pint of Bradfield Farmers blond. The pub is split into a dining area and a drinking area. Very comfortable interior and a lovely beer garden to the rear. Sunday roasts are advertised.
