The Old Harrow

Booked this venue for a wake for my mum. The buffet food was amazing and presented beautifully. It was all home cooked/prepared on site and tasted lovely. Nothing was too much trouble for Stacey and her staff. Stacey was very professional and accommodating. I would have no hesitation in recommending this venue.

I have just returned from a wake which was held here today. We couldn't have asked for anything better. From the day I phoned Stacey to ask for details, to the end of the wake today we were really well looked after. The venue is cosy, the food was really nice, and the option to have the help yourself tea and coffee was a great idea. We also had a slide show and video of our deceased family member which was shown from the laptop on all of the screens in the pub. We were even given credit in the juke box to choose some music for afrerwards. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this place for an event.

I can't speak highly enough of this pub. We booked for 20 people for food after a lunchtime funeral at Grenoside Crematorium. The quality, variety and quantity of the food was absolutely first rate. Special touches such as fresh fruit, cream scones and a cheese board were added to the main selection of sandwiches, sausage rolls, pork pie complete with chutneys, goujons etc, and everyone commented how good the food was. The added bonus for a morning or lunchtime funeral is that the pub isn't open to the public in the week until 2 pm, so you have exclusive use of the whole interior until then. Lovely, obliging staff as well, so top marks to everyone at the Old Harrow.
