Today our family went to the cafe at Whirlow Hall Farm for lunch and it was excellent. The staff were friendly and organised, the menu was a mix of cafe favourites, deli sandwiches and special mains all our groups food was well cooked and tasty. We haven’t been to Whirlow Hall Farm for a while as we had a few terrible experiences when the new cafe first opened. But I was delighted to find standards have improved and will be visiting again soon. Hurrah!

Great place to bring children, even on a rainy day. Lots of animals to see. The shop and butcher are amazing. We were lucky to go on the first Sunday since they started offering a roast. The beef was absolutely glorious. Would go back!

Really nice, quality food and great atmosphere. Great for kids too with the farm and play area right next to it. The only downside for me was the flapjack, which was way too sweet.

A really lovely open farm. Our kids love meeting all the animals and playing of the small playground. Then we usually have breakfast or lunch in the excellent cafe restaurant. There's a great little farm shop too and you can do tractor tours of the farm as well. Lots of parking is a bonus

Spacious cafe with tempting cakes! We opted for banana bread and carrot cake snd both were delicious. Will be lovely spot for summer too as the back opens up to ample play activity space for kids. Also pleasantly surprised to learn you get 10% off in the butcher shop with receipt from cafe. Will definitely be back.

Last time I came here it was a small cafe and ship on the opposite sides of the yard. I wasn't expecting this and I was blown away by the change. Reasonably priced, friendly staff and a great on site shop which offers 10% discount if you have been in the cafe

Lovely place, the staff are so kind and friendly, we stayed over with a residential group and it was Briant, farm tour, tractor rude, BBQ and a fire pit. We loved our stay and would definitely come back for a visit.

Had a fantastic couple of hours with Ash and his cows. We had relatives from America who wanted to see highland cows. Ash booked us in for during their stay. Mission successful- tractor ride and then stood in a field grooming them. The soft furry (mixed breed) very tame goat was the icing on the cake at the end for one toddler- who wouldn’t let go and nuzzled his face in! We had 2 fascinated toddlers in arms and felt very safe because of his relationship and knowledge of the cows. The sirloin steaks we bought from the butcher on site were voted ‘best ever tasted’ by our group. So we will be back. Thanks Ash (hurucorarebreeds) for a memorable visit.

Over 20 of my fellow walkers from the Sheffield and Peak District Walking Group enjoyed an informative presentation recently from the Trust CEO, followed by a tour of the farm by the lovely John, who certainly knew his stuff! Keep up the good work.
