Staff have become complacent since my last visit, service is sloppy and comes with an attitude. Pity. Used to be a lovely friendly pub.
Still nice gardens and food but the bar service is poor...
Forever changing my views here... Joe in the evenings is the best barman, promote him, he's a gem.

We had an evening Sunday meal and it was beautiful.
The food was delicious and freshly made, piping hot and served with a smile.
The puddings were fab too.
It was amazingly good value too. Definitely will be back and would highly recommend a visit.

Great location for the Newt. Freindly staff and OK rooms. Had a real buzz on a Wednesday night. Breakfast was very good.

Outstanding pub lunch. Really lovely food, excellent value. All six of us were delighted. Best burger I've had in a very long time, beer well kept, and just a lovely place with great service. Great traditional style quarry stone floored bar, and easy parking. Highly recommend it. None of us could understand why it wasn't rammed to the rafters.

Fabulous food. It was very busy when we went in, but they made sure we got a table, and it was the best we've had for a while. We were very grateful they didn't say they were fully booked and turned us away as others had. A lovely experience. We will definitely spend a night thi, and look forward to another wonderful meal. Great pub, lovely staff. Nice and quite location with the quarterly church bell. Never stayed as I live local anyway but the rooms are nice.
