Lovely food, great service and such good price. I think people will miss this gem of a place simply from how it looks from outside, but its, well worth the venture inside.

With its cosy atmosphere and simple but tasty menu selection, there is a real authenticity to this restaurant. It is one of the best Italian meals I have had without being on holiday! There was a good vegetarian selection and the daily specials gave extra choice to the menu. My friend and I enjoyed a really hearty meal with the pleasant house red wine and the total cost was surprisingly reasonable. Overall I was impressed with the quality of food, the service and the value for money; will definitely return next time I am in the area.

On a 3 day holiday and booked this for our first evening, I didn't realise but it was round the corner from the hotel Prince Rupert. It was originally the vestry so you can imagine it's a small space and it's crammed with bits of Italian paraphernalia which all adds to the atmosphere, loved the Italian opera playing in the background. There's plenty of choice on the menu ( not too much) but something for everyone and daily specials to choose from The staff are very attentive and welcoming, on ordering our 2 glasses of house wine 1 red 1 white the waiter gave a little description of each one which I thought was lovely.... Both were delicious! Our food was good as well, quite large portions but we managed to demolish them.

I live in England for 13 years, I lived in London and I live in Birmingham. I've been to countless Italian restaurants but this restaurant transported me to Italy the place reminds me of a tavern in Italy and the service is wonderful the food comes hot really made in the oven not something heated in the microwave makes you eat slowly to enjoy it, I don't remember the last time I ate with such satisfaction. I will definitely come back and bring friends with me. And my favorite restaurant in the whole of the UK.

I struggled to find the place using Google Maps. I was tired and should have zoomed in to see the street names. Walking up from the station area I didn't turn left at the top of he hill to follow the road. I continued on towards the shops. Church Street is off to the right not far from that turn. I still got there half an hour before my booked time. Both the starter I had (bruschetta al funghi) and the main (maialino al porcini) looked very much like the images I had seen online. Their home-made tiramisu was presented in a glass, a presentation which I had not seen before, but it hit the mark like any tiramisu should. The decorations screamed "Italy" and the walls were full of posters emblematic of Italy 🇮🇹. There were some statues and busts in the entrance area. I particularly liked the pot model immediately opposite my seat. I hoped the models involved weren't passing comment on the food. lol. I liked the food and ate the starter after the main, though they had been brought out together. The vegetables had been cooked a bit more than usual, just as I had requested. It seemed very important to book in advance to secure your table.

A little authentic Italian restaurant that produces some of the best Italian food I’ve ever tasted. Food was fresh, tasty and plentiful. Staff were so friendly and efficient and the setting was outstanding. Only a small place (20-25 covers I’d guess) but the ambience is fantastic. Make sure you book ahead as it was busy (but not overbearing). A definite must for Italian food lovers.

Fully recommend restaurant. Its tucked away off Fish Street, small romantic & atmospheric inside, but a real Gem! Good menu (no pizza for an Italian), prices and food was lovely (i had seafood pasta - loads seafood) and good sized portions overall. Staff were friendly. Hard to describe the decor, but meant in a good way (italian memorabilia, artifacts , nic naks etc.. that really add to the ambiance of the restaurant. Can't recommend enough and we will definately be visiting again next time in Shrewsbury. Make sure you book in advance so not disappointed.

We found this restaurant hidden along an alleyway and decided to have lunch there. We were very lucky as they were almost closed but happily, they found us a table. I didn't hesitate to have the set lunch with a glass of red. My husband who is a little more difficult, chose from the regular menu. Neither of us were disappointed with the food but hubby said he will have the set menu next time we come, as mine looked lovely. The atmosphere was excellent, it was very busy and the music added to the ambience, not overpowering like in some restaurants. There was a private little nook in the corner which seemed to sit 6/8 people.

Hesitate to give such a high score as now everyone will know how great this place is! Although judging by how busy it was I think people already know!! Had the lunch special of roll and butter, bruschetta, pasta, mixed salad and a glass of wine for the fantastic price of £8.50. Food was delicious and hot, service excellent as only one waiter who did everything and we even had opera playing in the background, which always sounds so good in Italian restaurants 😀

Two of us went for a meal on a Tuesday evening. This is a unique place being situated in an old church vestry in the centre of old Shrewsbury. Authentic Italian - Small with a nice atmosphere. The food and service were both excellent and not at all expensive. We will definitely go again.
