The food is good. I stick to the same things, Southern fried chicken wrap or the salad the salad I think at the moment it is called the Mediterranean Salad and is surprising good.
Really it's the staff that make it Jed and Shell always are warm welcoming and know the regulars. Most of the other members of staff are the same too.
I always like coming to this pub . It's always busy and noisy , but not too noisy, though.
Great atmosphere, good food, good beers all at good prices . The only downside is that renowned Wetherspoons torturous climb up a thousand steps, which seems like the journey to the top of a lighthouse just for a pee .
£5.90 large breakfast added £1.30 for 2 slices of black pudding, coffee £1.35 get free refills. Great food well cooked lavazza coffee good. Clean premises, staff prompt and polite. All in all a good experience. Keep up the good work ✌️
A lovely compact little pub up the hill from the station. Whilst it is very much a standard spoon decor the seating seems to get more comfortable the deeper you go. The staff were excellent: very friendly and quick to inform my mate that the ale he ordered was unavailable but were quick to replace it as requested. The pub was clean and tidy even though it was quite busy when we were there. The Guinness was excellent as was the Morland's Old Speckled Hen.
Excellent quality food very tasty and very enjoyable jacket potato with tuna and me ham egg and chips mmmmm chicken chips some of my friend rice and beast of chicken fill up also comes with a beer 4 me coke
Great Wetherspoons pub. Compact and friendly. Good value food and drink.
Staff helpful and welcoming, we stayed further along the road at the Travelodge so this place was ideal for a night cap, then breakfast in the mornings. Spotlessly clean first thing in the morning! (Credit to your cleaner! ) Good place to visit. Good breakfasts too, enjoyed.
Great vibe. Great prices. Great customer service. Will definitely be back! Was busy when I was there but was able to drink at bar until table became available.
