Mario's Of Silloth

Our first night in Siloth. Went here to try the haddock and saw the munchies box menu something we encountered at our visit to Bute last year. But we stuck with haddock and chips mushy peas curry sauce and battered sasuage a reasonable £13.70. Note when ordering remember to ask if you want salt and vinegar on them. As it's boxed and bagged and feel abs having to unstable and unbox to do it. But lovely piece of fish. Sasuage was ok nothing outstanding. But generous portions of.mushy peas the tall containers not small squat type. Curry sauce was good. Friendly and very good chips. Enjoyed for sure

Great choice of foodstuff but it's not all worth having. Fish and chips is lovely as are the pizzas. Tried the haggis but not nice at all as it's just sludge inside and far too moist. Was really looking forward to trying their Donner kebab but very disappointed. Given all the separate ingredients to make up my kebab (tub of salad, pile of Donner meat, cold pitta bread, tub of sauce) but most went in the bin. The chilli sauce tasted foul and far too strong to put on my kebab. Handy takeway but you have to be selective when buying as it's not all worth the money, especially now prices have increased.
