The customer service here was really good and friendly. And we didn’t wait for our food for long. We ordered the chicken wing and 4 side platter. The festivals here were hands down some of the best festivals I’ve ever had. The chicken wings were big, nice, crispy and clean but could have done with some herby sauces on the side! The jerk and cheese chips were underwhelming but other than that we were impressed and will be coming back soon! Edit: came here for a second time and the food and service was still great. The chicken tenders were not so tender though and the strawberry daiquiri hardly tasted of any alcohol. The Mac and cheese is mediocre and could do with more seasonings

The experience was brilliant. The staff is pleasant and welcoming. If you visit regularly, they will give you discount. The food is much better compared to the old Nandos across the corridor. The size of chicken is big and the price are reasonable. It's fulfilling size meals are freshly made. Post Edit: 19/10/2023 My recent visit to Jamaya to treat myself with the previously yummy experience of their Wings, turned out to be not as good as I did the first time. The wings were not fresh and hard to chew, seemed like reheated leftovers from previous day or something. You can see from the pictures I posted from my first day of trying their wings and to the ones I tried recently. Not happy Alas I won't be going back here again.

Jamayas, what can I say? The food, wow, so flavourful, the festivals... the best festivals I have ever had, hands down. When we go, we usually order the wings, festivals, fries and boneless tenders, the tenders can vary in size, one time we went and they were huge, the next they were tiny. The jerk gravy is great but could do with getting a bit more, especially if ordering a large volume of food. The service has always been great, staff are friendly and pleasant. Wait times for food can vary but honestly it's not too long. Have never had to be waited to be seated which is a bonus. Honestly cannot recommend Jamayas in Solihull enough, I'm yet to try the Colmore row venue but I've heard mixed reviews so I always visit the Solihull one.

Jamaya is a Jamaican restaurant that delivers an exceptional culinary experience through its mouthwatering fried chicken and delectable festival. The crispy exterior of the chicken reveals tender and juicy meat, complemented by a delightful blend of spices that tantalize the taste buds. The festival, golden-brown and fluffy, add a subtle sweetness that pairs perfectly with the savory chicken. The vibrant ambiance, adorned with colorful Caribbean decor and reggae music, transports diners to the heart of the Caribbean. However, the service at Jamaya falls short of expectations. The staff appears overwhelmed and disorganized, resulting in slow and inattentive service. It takes a considerable amount of time for orders to be taken, and even longer for the food to arrive at the table. The lack of attentiveness is evident in empty water glasses and difficulty in getting the attention of servers. Unfortunately, this detracts from the overall dining experience, leaving a disappointing impression. Jamaya offers amazing fried chicken and festival in a vibrant Caribbean setting. While the lackluster service is a drawback, the delicious food and lively ambiance make it worth a visit. With improvements in service, Jamaya has the opportunity to become a standout restaurant that fully captivates its patrons.

Jamaya is like a taste of holidays. Their Jam chicken and rice is a delicious bowl of tasty spicy chicken, rice and pea, and jerk gravy. Also plantain, max n cheese all good.

Great atmosphere, through no fault of the waitstaff food took a while to come out (i noticed there were maybe 3 waitresses throughout the restaurant as a whole and many tables were waiting for their food like us). However they kept us occupied with our drinks and delivered our food nice and warm. The food itself was very good, I enjoyed the plantain wrap immensely more than the old jackfruit option. Recommend the hibiscus and ginger drink, but it was also poured over so much ice there wasnt much to drink.

So as a family we have never eaten Jamaican food before (we're not lucky to have this amazing food near us) but all I can say is wow!!! I couldn't eat it quick enough, and would recommend you go... Food is truly amazing. Shaunah was so lovely after our meal taking the time to speak to us all and ask us all individually what we'd eaten and what we thought of the food. Her genuine interest and kindness completed the experience and left my kids beaming. Thank you so much.... We will definitely be back.

First try and will return! Surprisingly good 👍🏻. Real charcoal grilled half chicken, crispy fried chicken wings and the buffalo chicken wings are well prepared. I like the Jamaya sauce, it fits well with the wings, you can try the mango sauce too, but it’s not the sweet one, it’s a bit sour.
