Indian Melody

Warmly greeted as I walked in. I was served quickly and given good honest advice. The food was great and I definitely recommend. I am having a hard time believing all these bad reviews. I feel like they are biased in some fashion. I do feel like the decor could be improved but other than that I am glad I went.

Such a wonderful place! After having a bad evening at another local Indian (which I walked out of) I decided to go into Melody. Such an amazing dining experience! Not only were the staff helpful and friendly but they also made me a dish that wasn't on the menu. The flavours of their food is wonderful and the atmosphere of the restaurant is very family orientated. If you want a meal by people who care I really recommend this place! Will be going back!

Having lived in India for nearly two years. I can say this place has “high quality, authentic Indian food” majority of India is vegetarian. So other Indian restaurants I have been in Hampshire are far off to traditional tasty veggie food. The food here is delicious as if you were in south India itself!

Indian restaurant's always tend to be expensive and this was no exception. However I found the food good. It was like home made food my wife makes.but off course five times expensive. Inspite of that I will rank this highly as a this is fully vegetarian and offers much better food than other Indian restaurant where food is full of oil and onions. Also as we requested to have the food packed we were given much more that what we had expected.

Having read the reviews we were sceptical to say the least, but this indian was round the corner from our hotel, offered vegan food and claimed 'authentic indian' so we were interested to try. We weren't disappointed, the staff were friendly and wanted us to sit in and experience the food, but we were set on a take out. All the meals are freshly prepared. The food was delicious, we got a potato korma each and it used coconut milk, it was yummy, we also had the vegetable biriyani, which for us was a bit hot (but we can't handle any hot food!!) - couple this with an onion baji each and it was all round a wonderful meal. It makes it very clear that it is all vegetarian, the staff are on hand to discuss vegan options (but I wish it was a little clearer on the menu) - overall great experience.

I disagree with recent reviews. I had an enjoyable meal at the weekend. Service from a lovely lady who spent time sharing her and my enthusiasm for dosa. I am not vegan nor vegetarian and would happily recommend this place to eat. All cities need a dosa serving South Indian resturant. Go and see what you have been missing at the standard takeaway.
