Citarella is a very unique grocery store with many unexpected finds. If you are ever searching for purple yams, they have it! The prices can be a little high though.

This is the most expensive place to go shopping on Long Island for food. But their food is top quality. When it comes to bakery no other place can match it it's like having a fresh bakery in the supermarket. Their meat section has everything from dry aged to antelope. If you want it they probably have it in some form. I like going here for their lunch it's 1199 a pound and I normally end up taking a pound and a half of food. Expensive but it is very delicious.

This place is amazing! The fruit and veg section is very impressive, although the prices are quite high. There are so many options for breakfast, lunch and dinner. I particularly like the salad bar.
My only complaint is that I found out all pizza slices are binned at the end of the day if they don’t sell, even the staff aren’t allowed to eat them. What an insane waste of food!
