Coffee Lab London Road

This a superb speciality coffee shop - the decor is very light and modern with local art dotted around the walls. There's plenty of seating which is comfy enough but not the kind that would encourage a prolonged visit. The coffee itself is top notch - compared to the other branch in central it's just as good. The house espresso was bright and juicy - a nice balanced modern coffee with enough zing to enjoy straight but also rich enough for milk coffees. There's sandwiches and pastries on offer but as far as I could tell no cooked breakfast or brunch such as avocado toast. The staff were super friendly and relaxed. Well worth making a stop here or at the other branch.

Great cappucino made exactly to my (rather particular) specifications, good size served in a nice cup (makes a difference!) and accompanied by one of the most delicious croissants I've ever had! Lovely venue - spacious, relaxed, free wifi, really nice lighting and decor - and amazing staff, thank you!

Best coffee in Southampton by a long shot. Fantastic choice of coffee beans, well roasted and the drinks are well balanced and full of flavour. We ordered food too; great ingredients and bread used. Cafe itself is nice and clean, and staff were very friendly. Just a shame that it's not closer to the shops on Above Bar Street, but it's well worth a detour.

Having had a bland coffee experience an hour earlier, it was with great relief to have had this place lined up in my schedule to visit. The staff were friendly and welcoming, knowledgeably too. Coffee was delicious, but then I didn't expect anything less. Food was very nice, environment felt like garden building, it was bright, a little snug, a touch rustic, but it worked; I can imagine it fills up very quickly. All in all it was as good as I hoped, so can't really fault it. Five stars to the Coffee Lab team!
